Thread: One step towards Pistoleer balancing
I added a page to the general discussion. Its about how BH's are NOT the problem with pistol imbalances. The problem lies in people taking master pistoleer, then grabbing the BH pistol line for +50 accuracy, +50 speed, eyeshot, and the scatterpistol (which blows through most armor).
Its not a complete fix for balancing pistols.. but its big step in the right direction. Please keep it bumped, heres the link:

Ill place it in the current sticky thread we have on the T-21.
BTW: i posted this in the Bounty Hunter forum and also gave a link to our T-21 thread. Hopefully we'll get some more support from that direction. Lets return the luv and help fix their pet-peeve as well.
I'd like to see a delay for ranged knockdown. Maybe, 1-2 minutes..
Currently it seems pistoleer can spam like 1-2sec lowblow or whatever the hell the knockdown is. Which is extremely annoying. I can get off like 2 shots, then the pistoleer already has me down with non stop knockdowns.
One thing I'm wondering is why the accuracy modifiers are capped at +/- 50. If they were allowed to actually be as high or low as they're supposed to be, wouldn't this negate some of the pistoleer's mad accuracy at extreme ranges. I was looking at my FWG5 and it's -80 at 64m. Add to this the fact that rifleman are frequently in a prone position, the penalty at 64m should bemore than-100. Conversely, rifles have a good bonus at long ranges. Add in the bonus from being prone and rifle accuracy skill bonuses, and our accuracy modifier should easily exceed +50.
With such a huge penalty to pistoleers and such a large bonus for riflemen, pistoleers would have to do what they should be doing, i.e. move in closer. The time that the pistoleer is moving to get a reasonable chance to hit is valuable time for a rifleman to get in some specials before he would have to retreat.
So, it seems to me that this would tend to discourage duels between a pistoleer and a rifleman exclusively at long range, since that's the rifleman's sweet spot.
