Thread: Rifleman PA
Although my main character is on Bria, If we can muster enough support to creat one, large rifleman PA dedicated to slaughtering enemies from afar using tactics and long range freakin' cannons, I would be MORE than happy to creat a NEW character specifically for sniping on any server we can agree to make one on. Preferably one that has decent T21s, but it doesn't have to be 
I can only play during the day time, CST so that would probably cut me out of most large scale operations 
But the idea is to be feared in game as a group. On Bria I have started stockpiling rare resources required for the T21 in hopes of contracting the work out (once factories are reasonably fixed) so there will be little to no delay getting a large shipment. I think this is a good model for a group as focused as this one would be. Some extra credits for the time, extra resources etc for the crafter and we could literally fill a PA hall up with crates of fine rifles of all types.
Who's with me??
I need server suggestions and I want to see a lot of dedicated voices to get this started!
I agree wholeheartedly! I'd LOVE to be in a rifleman PA, but whenever I ask people on the naritus forum about it, no one replies...
I agree that we need to make it on a server that has plenty of materials for GOOD T21's (not the 75k crap that I see on naritus, that ends up being worse than my laser rifle).
I'm sick of joining groups and having people say to me "why don't you heal us instead of using your rifle? You don't help killing the mobs at all." It feels like all I'm good for nowadays is making camps and healing people with my stim-b's...
Personally, I want to hunt people in PVP... can u imagine 10 people doing headshots or mindshots at once?!?!? We'd slaughter! On top of that, with sniper shot they'd be dead even before theirpets touched us!

I'm getting pretty pumped up about this, especially after the repliesI got in another thread after I casually mentioned it. I don't know much about the squadleader profession (will look up more on it later tonight), but I think having one in a large scale raid/camp outside of an opposing factional city would make things even faster by designating targets for all rifles -they will drop with just one volley.
I hate starting new characters, but my enthusiasm I have for this is overriding my typical conflict.
Anyone else?
maybe we should all pick one race so we all look similar, like mon cal or zabrak (the two professions I consider the best for riflemen).
I'll be a rifleman/doctor! Just gimme that spraystick, I'll sniper shot and revive all at the same time!
We should make sure to have a ranger in the group too, so they can conceal everyone... ooo big mob parties!
If they give the squad leader mind heal, can u imagine the possibilities!? I don't care if the enemy has mind heal too, cause at the rate that they'll be dying, oh baby there'll be nothing left of them!

Hmm....Well, uniforms would be great to make everyone recognizable, as far as race goes, I think it should be up to the player, not that having an all Zabrak or all Mon Cal PA wouldn't be awesome, I just think people might reject the idea.
You are right about having a decided variety of secondary professions, that would make a group like this so much more effective. And having a couple would be even better 
Can you imagine the HATRED other groups would have for a well organized PA of this caliber? :evilgrin:
hey name a server, I have put out for anyone from Flurry or Scylla to give me a mail. I was one of the people that followed up your first post on this subject, Social. I am definetly for this, we might even become uber l337, but who really cares about that anyways. I just think it would be truely fun.

Does anyone know if the imperial riflemen actually attack mind? Are there any pets that attack mind? We should put some research into this kind of stuff... 
Well, all I have saved up so far that is T21 specific is 150k ditanium steel gand although it isn't anything spectacular, it is almost what most ditaniums come out as (according to the DB on swgcraft.com - or whatever). Incidentally, 150k ditanium is enough for 1000 T21s.....
But I am a Bothan and a Rebel. My character's plan did not start out as a rifleman, nor did I know much about the races in the game, I wouldn't mind a fresh start.
I just think that in light of the circumstances, something of this scale would really add a new element to the class, one that may or may not have been done before, but is rare, to say the least. I think if we managed to pull something like this off well, there may be more PAs popping up loosly based on the same model.

Im in and have already created a
Zabrak Rifleman/Combat Medic on Flurry (that a dam good server, geting just under 200 pings, good for me in Australia)
I vote for flurry!!
Also i like the idea about the zabrak only thing, i personally think zabrak is the best race for rifle.
having said that
im pretty easy, i only just created it last night so could go to where ever, except bloodfin, already got a char on there that is well advanced

I also suggest Bria, mainly cause it's my server, and because the resource for the t-21's are decent, the aluminum at least. Plus it's a large server, and I know 2 or 3 more rifleman that I may be able to coerce.
If it DOES happen on Bria, The rifleman doctor is taken care of...
