Thread: DO NOT BRING BACK THE DAMAGE MULTIPLIER!
I know what you are saying Fred ( You don't mind if I call you Fred do you? ), I was once a Master Sharpshooter & Master Marksman and had no Melee skills to supplement my Ranged. Since I took up TKA things come at me and I don't have to run as often as I used to.
I have honestly been brainstorming to come up with a suitable idea to replace the option of a 2.5x melee damage modifier. Currently as things stand we are supposed to be 2.5x easier to hit ( not 2.5xdamage ) when holding a Rifle. Because of some stooooopid bug we are something like 2.5x harder to hit. Hence all the nerf calling. I know the Devs are looking into fixing this bug and hopefully we will see that fix in place soon.
Then we have the combat revamp, who knows what that's going to bring with it. All the details are sketchy. I guess what some of the people on this board who agree with the 2.5x melee damage modifier being reinstated are trying to say is. Lets choose our poison if we have to have it. I'm sure even you would agree that taking 2.5x damage is preferrable to a 3 second speed cap?
I still think taking 2.5x damage because of holding a rifle is just stupid, it makes no real sense... 1.5x would be a little more realistic. If block worked properly then the 2.5x modifier wouldn't be so much of a problem I think... but it doesn't so I cant test it hehe! ![]()
