Thread: New Rifle is making me nervous

The range mods fit in with the star wars background of the weapon. All disruptor weapons have a good close range mod, because they're supposed to be ineffective after about 20m.

If we follow the concept that the Devs dont give us love for free, then this new rifle might be a harrbringer of a speed nerf for us. The mods on our current rifles are hidious at close range, yet this new rifle actually has a plus 1 to hit... so thats a 61 attack mod swing from the t21 to the dx. Then ponder about the 2.5x melee damage mod being removed, and all of a sudden we arnt the red headed step child of close combat anymore. (well other then being kded by a gentle breeze)


I imagine thats theres nuaght we can really do, other then redouble our efforts to edumacate the huddled masses that dont wear armor, use non-stun layered armor, have never heard of mind healing foods, or thinks that the rifle/tkm/fencer/pistoleer build is actually just a normal rifleman.

Carbineers and Pistoleers are getting new wepons also. and I have seen some schematic loots that have pistols with skill mods and dot built in.

Plus the Geonosian Dungeon where you get the schematic and power cubes for the DXR-6R makes the Warren feel like a chuba hunting trip...


Not going to be a lot of these rifles out there...
