Aiyah! Ive said it once, ill say it again: when KDed, spam stand and the move , and youll still fire it. SPAM them repeatedly. Also invest in some armor ( I have an 81 resist suit, and nothing gets thru-cept stun). Be sure to bleed them too, when you get KDed, and youre spamming headshots, makes life easier. Carry a powerful jawa ion rifle. Do flushing shot on those high defense classes/dabblers to cut their defenses.

I NEED EDIT! Do your sniper shots with a CDEF. Cuts HAM costs big time. Thanks to Kel'torr for this ingenius idea.

well just one thing to comment here. dont spam stand like that dude said. time it to every 3 seconds. i think that the guy who said spam has combat equilibrium and that makes a big difference. spamming it will make u stnad up and fall again cause u posture changed. just time ti every 2 seconds and u can seee whemn u r gonna get up or not

Make sure you pop muon before combat (sounds stupid, but I know a few riflemen that don't! :smileysurprised
, and spam headshot3 if you're facing a single opponent, or strafeshot2 if you're up against multiple enemy players.
The most important thing is to keep at maximum range, and keep moving. You'll miss a bit, but anyone shooting at you will too. Its pretty difficult to keep out of lunge range from melee professions, so as soon as you see someone running at you hit burst run and keep the distance between you and your target.
Chef buffsare your friend!
Blue milk - heals500 mind damage from a decent chef. Even with muon my mind drains pretty quicky after spamming specials, so this is a real help. It also means you can go without muon if you really have to.
Vasarian Brandy - +200 mind, focus, willpower from a decent chef. Works well when combined with blue milk, and its legal
Vayerbok - adds some block mods... would be helpfull if block actually worked.
Citros Snow Cake - +20 accuracy - helpful if you're constantly running
Get some of those buffs down you're neck and you'll have no problem in PvP - just stay out of range of those pesky TKAs

When a riflemans range is 3times that of a tka/master brawler and 6times that of a normal tka i cant see how u can let them get so close

yeah TKAs burst running at you is a real **edit** - you just have to be on your toes and with your finger on the burst run button. It helps to examine the enemy player beforehand (if you have time) to check if they're equipped with VKs (or any other melee weapon) and hit burst run as soon as they move towards you.
The lunge range of 30m is a total joke but it probably won't be changed untill the combat revamp. Just make sure you don't push burst run too late - if they get a lunge in, you'll be either forced to kneeling or KDed, both of which end your burst run.

....ya and if a TKA knocks you down you might as well walk away from your computer because you are usually as good as dead.

Its called burst run.A lot ofpeople don't realize the TKA has used Burst Run until its too late. It really does not take long for someone using Burst Run to close a 60m gap.
