Thread: Going Rifleman today, any hints on levelling up?

I am a Master Doctor, have crates of Muon, crates of Fishnak..


Have some little pets. I currently have Master TK, I will keep the melee mitigation line until absolutely necessary to drop it.


Any ideas of where and what to hunt?

dantooine worked wonders for me. i go to the mining outpost and grab 2 piket missions and go and do those again and again. i recommend getting someone to help you initially until you have the sniper tree done or close to it. i also recommend picking up conceal shot after you get headshot 3. these are thingsi did, im no pro, in fact i hate the profession but im almost done with it and i started 4 days ago. oh also forgot, get a T21, it really is awsome. the faster the better, trust me. those nests take forever and a day to destroy with any rifle. also if you have friend with good composite armor i recommend dathomir and rancor hunting. even the worst rifleman can get 4k offa rancor as long as he isnt being attacked by the rancor, hence why you need the friends. remember to get buffs often or you will needa good sized group anywhere you go. just my opinions, use them, dont use them, doesnt matter to me

You'll find as many different opinions about leveling up as you will riflemen/riflewomen. The two that seem to be the most prevelant are quenkers and pikets on Dantooine. The main difference is quenkers hae about 3.5k hams as opposed to 9-12k hams for pikets. Pikkets are not work 6k xp though. And you have three per wave making them a tougher fight.


I prefer to hit quenkers. regular quenkers give 3k xp per kill and 5k cash per mission. They don't hit as hard as a savage quenker so I don't have to be buffed to fight them. I can also just fire away without the need fo rmindbleeds on them. Savage quenkers are a bit meaner and I always get buffed before I take those on. (Not a roblem with you being a Doc). The give 3.5k xp per kill. Each lair gives about 3k xp also.


If you have Rifles IV then grab a laser rifel and head out. Qunkers will give around 20k xp per mission on average. You get six spawns plus the lair, minus any babies that pop. the 125k to hit novice rifleman will come quickly. I took the full sniping line first for the accuracy, next I'm moving up the countersniping line. Up to you if you choose differently.


Mind bleeds are your best friend early on. Now with the patch, they wont stack, but mindshot 2 will bleed and help alot.


Head shot 3 is a waste. Head shot 2 does almost the same damage for less mind cost. As a rifleman mind is everything. If you want to use your specials, make sure your mind is ready. Muon, foods and entertainer buffs are always a plus.


A note about Sunrunner. We are blessed to bea server that gets t21's. Not all servers have the resources to make them. But currently we are cursed with the worst of the bunch. From the posts I've read, our t21's are the lowest damage t21's out there. Our best damage I've found after a slice is 500-510 damage. On the shots of our riles thread, you ill see many that do much more than that without powerups. (Now you know why I kept asking about them in the Sunrunner forum).

Make sure to group up with a pet and stick it somewhere safe. I got 3.9K XP off savage quenkers that way.

At what skill lvl can i expect to do the quenkor and piket missions. If i use muon or pixie stuff?

You can run quenkers with good armor before you hit riflman. Pikets are a bit tougher. I did them as a 2/0/0/1 but it was tough and took along time. It was more time effective to do quenkers.

With buffs and armour u can do pickets with rifles4, easily just takes some time

I killed torturs to powerlevel my rifleman. They don't deathblow and give 3337 xp per kill (when grouped w/ a pet).

Get conceal shot first (0100) and then get flushing shot 2 (0130). After you get conceal shot, grab a low level pet and have them attack the tortur lair. All of the mobs will aggro on the pet and will be trying to heal the lair. Spam flushing shot 2 and all 5 will drop dead at the same time. I actually kill them so quickly that many times their corpses won't even fall over (they remain standing as a corpse). The pet will continue to attack the lair causing new mobs to spawn till the lair is tapped out. In the course of 1 muon boost, I can do 4 missions (22k exp each) harvest tons of meat/hide/bone.

If you do screw up, the mob won't deathblow you, you can just wait out your timer, get back up and start shooting.

Master rifleman in 36 hours of play time.

time exactly... I can run two quenker missions to every picket mission. Plus the muon downer hits and if you have a red piket you can get db'd.

Please do us all a favor and dont PVP Ron you will give us all a bad name. Arent you the one that with 16 of your friends got your arse handed to you by two rifemen?

Just turn back now, because when they do nerf our class you will be on this board whining about it, and i just dont wanna hear it.

They need to remove the defense stacking if they want the Matrix style PVP to stop. Everyone should pick a toon and name itfrom matrix and just become a stacker and then we can call it "Matrix Galaxies:The Game where you dodge/counter/miss everything" and everyone has the same template and fights last for 40 minutes because you miss 95% of your attacks.

Everyone just go this template and then it will sure to get nerfed we just need more people to see how badarse it really is.



Go: Master Rifleman / Master TKA with fencer 4/0/4/0 and you are NEO. Godly. Unstoppable. You will NEVER have to fight using TKA stuff. Just hold that Jawa rifle and watch and be amazed. Everyone I know in the game **edit** about these template everyday. SWG will either force everyone into one of these templates or nerf it.
