Erm... I've been away a little while with work and on returning I see riflemen getting a LOT of stick from the other professions for suddenly being uber. Imagine my surprise then when last night I went a-huntin' and things seemed pretty normal. Now I'm only a 2-1-0-1, so I'm hardly a master but am I missing something? Is there some new combo of attacks that send even the mightiest of enemies fleeing in terror. Typically, I always just flurry NPC's and then headshot 'em while they flounder (trying not to incap myself in the progress is quite an art) or for monsters I just conceal shot 'em which takes forever but keeps me alive.

Can anyone shed any light on why I haven't come over all Godlike in my smiting abilities?

Incidentally, this isn't a sarcasm post, I really don't know and would like an update on the state of play.

The true potential of the Rifleman profession cannot be realized until you've reached the master level. I've been clawing my way up the profession semi casually for about 3 months. Each box in accuracy and speed made me say, "wow" this is a great profession.

Nothing will prepare you for the difference in speed, accuracy, and damage per second when you finally reach master. I'm not a PvP guy so I don't get all twisted up in that whole mess. I do a lot of hunting and PvE however (mmm stormtroopers...) and I can only tell you from personal experience that with proper buffs and food I am a Dealer of Death from 64m.

so basically all the bitching and screaming is over the abilities of a Master of an Elite profession. Who could have guessed that something that was described as "master" and "elite" would be any good. Shocking..really shocking.

get some vasarian brandy. good stuff will give you +450 to all mind stats.

if you can get your focus above 1600 or so you will have zero mind cost when you shoot.

use speed power ups for best results.

goto www.killyourpc.org/swg then the DPS calulator. put your stats in and it will tell you the best attack to do

IF YOU CAN KEEP MASTER MARKSMEN AS IT GIVE YOU + 5 SPEED.
