Hey everyone, was wondering if anyone can help me out.

I just got Rifles IV and got the new combat ability MindShot1, or so I thought. So I go out into the wild to test my new ability out, but all I see in the combat chat is 'You use Distracting Shot on so and so' and I get very little damage for it, PLUS its not even mind damage. Max I've seen from this shot was 744, with an average of about 250. Can someone tell me if my game is messed up or this is what MindShot1 really is? Thanks alot!

It's a bleed, but bleeds were nerfed to near uselessness in publish 6. I think tomorrow's patch is fixing it so it'll actually hit the mind pool, but the bleed effect is really weak and headshot does probably more damage.

mind shot 1 then mindshot2 then start using headshots..

why not just mindshot2? you know that bleeds don't stack so why not get the best bleed you can on something?

fyi: in combat spam, mindshot 1 is called "distracting shot". mindshot 2 is better (you get it in the sniping tree of rifleman) and is called "mindbender".

bleeds really were nerfed to insignificance. it's almost not worth wasting an attack to apply one now.

That no longer works, even withyour swordsman friends minds bleeds. Last effect performed wins and resets the timer. It's part of the nerf.
