Thread: One less reason to cry NERF at rifleman

They seemed to have fixed ourmelee defense issue when having a rifle equiped. Im not talking about PvP because that's obivous in the patch note that melee players will get bonus to hit range players, but also for PvE. Prior to this patch mobs would have a hard time hitting me with the +80 melee defense i had. I played around with my template some more today and jacked this number up to +132, by changing from tka 3000 to tka 0003. Made no difference quenkers, pikets, etc hit me easily now, they only me about 10 to 15% of the time. So just a head up for you guys, especially ones still leveling rifleman, you have reasons to fear melee range combat with mobs once more.

sorry for the type o, meant they only miss me about 10% to 15% of the time now. About 1 to 2 out of every 10 hits.

Can't you take out ur VK, or what other skill u use to get rid of the 2.5x?

no that was taken out of the game a couple of month ago, and it effected both rifleman and commandos. However when they took that out a bug appeared that made a person with a rifle or flamethower extremely hard to hit in melee combat. Mobs were missing players over and over. This patch today seems to have fixed this bug and we are far easier to hit.

This is a good nurf and a step in the right direction for the game. Combat hasbeen rediculously too easy in SWG. Cant wait for the 'real' combat revamp next month!
