Thread: Suggestion: No speed cap garbage, just make the Jawa AP0.

That way if, anyone is too dumb to put a stun layer in, they get pwned. A stun layer will acutally mean something then!!


I've been a rifler since release, I sure as hell don't want us nerfed, but I see it as this or a speed cap. We can bypass Compo with at the most a 40% loss. Make jawa ap:0, and things sort out to a 70% loss. There we go, and the whiners disappear.

Whatever I don't care hell make it do electric damage(Makes more sense, the putses), sooner or later the dev's are going to realize their Armor System blows.

make it ap 0 or electric

both would make people not hate us a much - and we could stay almost effective.

I disagree, I don't think Composite should be the "only" for armor to use in PvP. Weapons like the Jawa encourage people to actually think about what kind of armor to wear.


Stun layers make the Jawa no better than the T21 against an armored opponent anyway.

All armor, by default, is weak to stun.


With a stun weapon, the most damage you can lose is 40% via the triple layer w/ perfect resources, and with 90% energy compo, a T-21's 100 base damage becomes....


100 * 1.56 (ap3 vs ar1)= 156
156 - 90%= 15.6 damage. Woot.


Whereas the Jawa...


100 * (ap1 vs ar1)= 100
100 -40%= 60 damage.


I'll take that 60 damage everyday, given the lower hams too. If jawa = ap0

100 * .5 (ap0 vs Ar1) = 50

50 -40% = 30 damage


I'd take that every day too. The compo would have to be <~60% to make the T-21 more worth while as is, ignoring the fact the a damage sliced Jawa has about 300 max dam, whereas a damage slice t-21 can get close to 500. (no Powerups or tissue, my non-stocked t-21 has 440 max via a 33% damage slice.)

actually with perfect resource the limit is 45% stun protection with triple layer protection, 15% per layer.

I disagree, jawa should be left at it is, there's ways around stun damage, it up to them to figure it out. Second no weapon why a rifle should have AP0.

Or they could make armor work better. Hmm that would involve work though. Christ why would anyone wear anything but composite when the con's are non-existant (buffs anyone?) and the pro's are huge. I never knew you could walk around in an abrams, figured it would sorta hurt your back.


And psyco, "1 vulnerability for all armor and only provide it to a couple professions? Brilliant" -developer in charge of logic. Besides, why don't carbineers get a stun one? Afterall the stormies set for stun at the start of ANH and they were wielding E-11 carbines.

serioulsy don't speed cap, a pure rifleman doesn't cap with out skill attachments anyways or a well speed sliced gun, you need about 3.5 bas speed to cap with adv. strafe and HS3 at 90 speed


Make the jawa electric or ap 0 are great idea's, honeslty how can a stun gun pierce armor? seems to me you could hold a pillow infront of stun to block it, i gess now that i think about stun should net even do dmg should effect secondary stats would be my natural inclination towards its effect if i was designing the game /shrug
