Thread: MRM/TKM?

Is MRM/TKM a good template for PvE? I don't PvP. I really like ranged weapons as opposed to melee but TKM's additional defenses, meditate, powerboost and power of will (not too mention good damage output if someone manages tog get close to me) are simply too irresistible...

If you have the cash to speed cap, get uber rifles, and uber armor. You can be godly in pvp, and very good at pve.

A TKM/Rifles can be a very effective template in PvE and PvP. In PvP start out TKM (unless of course they are ranged and you know they will kite you) and just do KD2 and then dizzy then intimidate, then switch to your rifle and run away and just kite them with HS3.

if its for pve... i would go master rifleman/master swordsman.... both would make ideal pve in both ranges

I had this template, its great and i loved it but the state defense is horrible, specially for kd, dizzy and posture change down. Its like +20 i think, so i added on fencer 4/4/4/0 and i love it. great defense and yet still have awesome offense.

The addition of Fencer is a worthy one, but if you want to forego grinding that profession, you can add in TheTechniques line of Pistoleer. Pistol Techniques gives you:


Defense Vs. Posture Down +20

Defense Vs. Stun +40

Defense Vs. Blind +40

Defense Vs. Dizzy +40

Defense Vs. Knockdown +50


For a smaller investment, you get some major bonuses. My big problem with Fencer is that Dodge is completely wasted, as neither the Rifleman nor the TKA can benefit from it, so you're wasting skill points on something that you can't even use. I would recommend taking some of Fencer, if you want to cap Melee' Defense though. I am currently Master Rifleman/TKM with the Techniques line of Pistoleer and I love it. Granted, you're not Defense stacked, but I like the balance of it all.

I have this template too, its great !

Add slicing term and feign death from smugler + novice medic and I cant see what can happen to you
