Thread: is master doc / master rifleman any good

for pvp and pve -- Im a master doc/sword atm .. not to good in pvp -- but rocks in pve -- I want a class with an even balance.. (the carniners sent me here lol)


I have or can get plus 20 in rifle speed skill tapes


I can get or have 10 or so in accuracy


I am akrayt dealer so can get any rifle that takes krayt tissue made relativly cheap and easy.


Is rifle a good class for pvp and pve? (mixed with master doc )

Master Rifles only needs +7 to cap speed.

I'm rifles/doc and do well in PvP and PvE. Only have trouble if a melee player gets a bit close! Having no melee defence/mitigation is hard work

Novice brawler really doesn't help in regards to defending yourself against a melee fighter except for one thing, intimidation. That is the best thing about novice brawler. Land an intimidation on them,and any state attacks have a MUCH greater chance to stick so immediately stun afterwards, lowering their defenses even further. I was actually a Master Doc/Rifleman for about 3 months and I had great luck with the profession. With the right equipment you can hold your own in PvP, especially if you can get to the speed cap and you spend the time learning how to use your profession in PvP.

I am a speed capped rifleman and i recently pvped against a master swordsman, master teras kasi artist, and master fencer....the duel lasted about 15 mins before we both gave up and started laughing. Rifleman is an absolutely fantastic profession for PvP, if you have the right equipment and know how to play. Intimidate is definitely a must, as it is the first thing i use. If i am Pvping against any profession that isnt mastered, i intimidate, use a couple flurryshots to dizzy, supression fire to Kd, then mindshot2 to start a mind bleed, then headshot3 till incap....then, depending on the situation, sniper shot. Otherwise, just use intimidate, mindshot2, and headshot3. It really helps to have a mind dotted dxr as i found they can do really good damage with mindshot2 bleed. Now that i have given all my secrets away, get speed and accuracy capped and go pvp. One more thing, I dont lose

that is the temp of my good friend the most feared rebel on tempest. use those state cures and you will be a killing machine.



Combat Difficulty: *** FunkHunter looks like instant death.

yah it works well but u take a ton of dmg from other rifelmen cuz of low def

Almost convinced me

with sword area attack in pve -- it rocks walk into an area and swing away..


does rifle have an area attack?

so i need 7 in speed to max speed


how many in acuracy while moving?


Accuracy in general


I asume damage is broken


and aim is a waste

rifleman have 3 area attacks


Strafe shot 2 (acquired at master rifleman) is the highest damage output rifleman shot that doubles as an area attack


Flushing shot 2 (acquired in the 3rd counter-sniping box of rifleman) is a stun area attack with relatively low damage


Flurry shot 2 (acquired at 0003 of rifleman) is an area dizzy attack also with relatively low damage output

It's a great combo. The state heals are invaluable in pvp. I like rifles better than swords because of the ability to attack the mind at a higher rate of speed and from distance. Mind shot 2 is pretty special as well.

Well, for now the after master rifleman, u need +7 in speed tapes to cap and +25 for acc, +25 block, +25 acc while moving to cap. I am hoping to win the bid of a +14 block tape and then i will be capped for everything. After the combat rebalance, rifleman will need much more than +7 to cap so its a good idea to get em now before the price goes through the roof.
