Thread: Melee chance to hit vs Ranged: any solid numbers?

In other threads, I see the Rifleman vets making sweeping references to the melee professions extra chance to hit vs a ranged opponent. I am curious if anyone has ever tested this, or hasa reference to hard numbers on the subject.

Don't have any info on the specific number. However it appears that it's enough to cancel out all or most of the melee defense of a Master Rifleman (barring any bonus from other professions). If I had to guess I'd say it's between 30-40 points at least. Haven't tested it though.

If anyone wants to test it, they'll probably have to find a mid to low level elite melee player. At Master the accuracy is high enough it may make it difficult to determine.

Can't you get the devs to answer this Waste? Figured that correspondents actually got solid answers from time to time.

They don't like giving specific numbers. It discourages number crunching somewhat. Also with the revamp coming I'm not sure how useful it would be if it's going to change anyways.

If they wont give numbers can you at least get them to acknowledge whether there really is one or not? If there ismyself and just about every other rifleman out there wouldreally really like to know.
