Curious about the new schematics for the 2 new Bowcasters. Are these in your datapad from the start...even though you are not certed for its use yet? similar to how it went originally on live...where all wooks have that cert to start?
Thanks
Thanks

I didnt have one in my inv when I made my wookie, i got it from the blue frog and it has about the same power as a looted cdef rifle.
All the starter weapons are majorly weak!

Not talking about the actual rifle.
I am talking about the schematic in the datapad. It is under the schematic tab for everything that you can make. A wookiee on live has a bowcaster in there that shows the stats to make the item...and can make the item with the proper parts.

Good question but it applies to all weapons and not just the Bowcaster...
how are these new weapons going to be added? Will they simply be plugged into the current weapon and armour crafters datapad or will they be rare drops?
Due to the CU revolving around combat I'd assume the new weapons would simply be added to the list of schematics so that the crafting professions can benefit from the CU as well as the combat profession players.
Hell, it's hard enough finding a Wookiee Master Weaponsmith (come back to the game Chewga!) let alone some rare drop(Berserker).

Hmm. I'll have to log in and take a look at that, I never noticed a schematic.

Haven't been back on in a few days (since the new casters were released), but my wookiee novice artisan no longer hade the innate schematic to make the base bowcaster when last I did log on to TC5. Not sure if this means any WS will be able to make them or if only wookiee WS will be able to make them, but it does not appear that Wookiee non-WS can make them any longer.
But, that still might change too.

The character that I had schematics for all 3 with was a wookiee (obviously) with no training other than what you get immediately upon logging in to TC5, ie. the novice box in all novice professions. So, it is possible that you have to be a wookiee with at least novice artisan, but I think it is much more likely that the only requirement is that you be a wookiee, period.
Of course, unless they change the system it will use weaponsmith experimentation points.

Just checked with a wookiee char I created yesterday. I have certs for all 3 bowcaster types, so I think that they will still be craftable by any wookiee.
I was going to write down the resource requirements, but I dicided I'm too lazy for that when it is certainly possible they'll be tweaked.
