What is our understanding of how your CL changes the damage done to you by creatures?

I ask as A Rifleman/Ranger... Ranger looking like its going to be the Redhead Stepchild of the CU.

If you con higher the creature does less damage to you and vice versa... I really don't like this dynamic.

Ranger has alot of potential, if they just took the time to add a few goodies

Ok time to play bad news bear with my Ranger buddies.

I don't understand why when your are already stronger than something it needs to hit you less hard...

yeah, the contnued bad news is that this dynamic also applies itself to group, meaning that if you group up with people, your "group con" level actually determines how hard you hit the creature and vice-versa. That means we can all give a big welcome back to solo-grouping. It also means that people won't want to group with Rangers, who will drag them down a few levels.

BTW, all speculation about Ranger is made assuming we don't get added CL/health. As we haven't heard back from the devs, and this question has been posed on pretty much every forum, I imagine they either have no clue, or they're debating it internally. Hopefully they'll make the right decision and give Rangers the added health.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.
