No actually that sounds about right. And dont complain, its an advantage that somewhat offsets the fact that we can never line anything up at maximum range unless you're on tat in the middle of nowhere; otherwise your opponent takes one step to the left behind an anthill and you cant see ALL of his left boot..and can no longer fire on him.

might be an idea to change it to the top of the model rather than the bottom... but then I guess everyone would start making super short toons for PvP

They did change LOS from toe to toe to upper torso to upper torso but tiny rocks and trees appear to have an infinite height.....

That was actually what I was afraid would happen when I heard about the LOS in CU. Hope they fix that

In pre-CU play we all had optimal ranges. Now that ranges are gone it seems that a rifleman has the same accuracy at Point Blank as say a Pistoleer does.

I was going to originally go Rifleman/Pistoleer but it seems a waist since I do the same damage from 45m as I do at Point Blank and I hardly ever seem to miss.

Am I missing something here?

don't get me wrong _ it is a fantastic change but still needs work.

I found it odd that I can't shoot someoneI can see but has a little rock between us, but then can shoot someone on the other side of a buildingI cant see. And I can shoot through the building as if it wasnt there.

I also hate that I can't disengage an opponent to do a bacta heal on myself (like using a stim). I either have to kill it or die.

They've got alot of work to do on this CU if they're gonna have it ready for ROTW deployment. And they seem to take one step forward, and two steps backward. They're making such little progress, I'm saddened.

I was originally in favor of the CU. But it's becomming more frustrating, than enjoyable.

Thanks. I've looked everywhere for the /bactashot command. This will replace my /healwounds self command.

LOS issues are going to be hard for them to fix I would think, given the 2 dimensional nature (well its not a true 3d engine as z-plane movement seems only partially implemented) of the engine. I guess its a trade off between shooting thru hills or having true LOS.

Actually it's a true 3d enviornment I belive. JTL uses the same engine, just modified.
