Thread: How do you FS grinders feel rifleman will be for getting xp after CURB?

First let me state that I have been a master rifleman almost my entire career in SWG (since launch). I have always kept it even though there are better ways to get xp for FS. I love the profession and plan on keeping it after the CURB. Right now I can cap my rifle xp in about 45 minutes killing various things like stormies or corsairs. Does it look like rifleman will still be able to solo stuff. I'm a little worried about having to group up all the time to get decent xp....the hours I'm on now make it difficult to find a substantial group on my small server. Any insite here would be helpfull.

No way to know for sure at present - XP levels in CU testing keep changing. One consideration - if the current "level" system of damage multipliers in PVE stays in place, noone's going to be grinding anything...

gah this is what I'm afraid of. See this is what people get for taking their time with the FS grind and not throwing nades....no jedi

I'm not sure if my meaning was plain, there. I meant to say that if the PVE level damage multiplier was still in effect, individuals and groups were going to be very frustrated by PVE combat as a whole, and may lose patience with it (and the game) long before they grind enough XP to earn any FS skills, never mind Jedi. That said, group XP is better now in that it follows the JTL format where everyone in the group who contributed to a kill gets full XP for it, so you can conceivably get XP faster in a group; the tradeoff to this is that you get based based on relative level, and in a group your level is higher, meaning you need to go after higher-level mobs in order to earn the same XP, which can be a challenge since (at present) creatures with a higher level than you have the damage they do to you increased by a hidden multiple... which brings me back to where I started, which was that if they don't sort that out, you won't see many people sticking around long enough to grind Jedi.
Of course, fewer Jedi isn't necessarily a bad thing...
