About a year and one month ago I started playing SWG with the intent of becoming a rifleman. I didn't know the profession was uber. I didn't know how amazing it was. I just wanted to be a sniper. Over time I took a lot of other professions, from Commando, to Teras Kasi, to Fencer, to Combat Medic, but I could never let go of my rifleman. I wore my (soldier) tag with pride from the day I got it because I felt Master Rifleman to be a little much, but 'soldier' fit me.

With my rifle, I killed hundreds or thousands of Nightsisters, Genosians, Krayts, and of course, Rebel scum. Sure, it wasnt a sniping weapon per se, but it always felt good to blast away at maximum range.

When I got my baby, an exceptional T-21 from a Nightsister Outcast, my hands were shaking so badly I had to step away from the computer for a few minutes.

But all good things must come to an end. I was putting off the loss as long as I could, but this weekend I was forced to type "yes" into the surrender skill prompt for Master Rifleman in order to train Master Lightsaber. The second I did this, through no prompting of my own, my (soldier) tag, which I have worn for the past year, disappeared. I lost my profession and my tag in one fell swoop, apparently the title bug didnt want to work for me.

My rifle got me myForce Sensitivexp andmy rifle got me through my first dozen bounty hunters, and I love the profession. I have high hopes for the CU and perhaps it will bring us closer to the sniper I always wanted to be, but sadly Xalya Shadowalker would not be a part of it.

But this isnt a pity-thread, no. For I loved my profession so much, I could not just make a MDoc/MDancer alt to be my little Jedi buffbot. No. I created myself again, Xalya' Shadowalker, and she's picked up the gun and the toxins right where Xalya set them down.

This is one Twi' thats going to be a (soldier) for a long time to come.

Um...What was the point of this? To tell us your main dropped rifleman to be jedi just for your alt to pick up rifleman? Thanks for a wasted 5 mins of my life i want them back

Some people exist just to be angry and piss others off. I think I understand what you meant to say, in that even with the 'uberness' of Jedi the call of the Rifleman (or Riflewoman in your case) was still too strong to be ignored.

We have by far the coolest profession in the game (though commando comes in a close second) and its always good to hear from a fellow longarm specialist how awesome they think we are!

I'm doing the same thing, on 2 servers no less. I'd definitely do it if I had an Exceptional too To be honest, I'm having a lot more fun on the CU server because people actually want to group.
