Grinding my new alt. I have been master rifleman such a long time I have forgotten how bad rifles are at marksman level lol. Miss-wait-wait-wait-miss. (yes I know about point blank area and target lairs)
I was grinding a bit outside Dearic. When started red cons spawn outside NPC cities on a noob planet like Talus? I run into turton bulls, Giant dalyrake (even matriarch Dalyrakes) just outside city (in city zone). Nasty devs, 4-5k mobs is not what you expect when you want some peaceful unbuffed auto-attack grinding lol.

lol, after unlocking my second slot I desiced to make my new alt fill in the shoe's of my old riflemen. I too forgot how bad it is. The grind is so bad (especially after being master for so long) that I have about 4 times the amount of jedi skill boxes as I do in in marksman/rifle on my second toon. But I chip away at it whenever I can stand it for I know what rewards I have to look forward to at master.

Hehe I am looking forward to start using my 1800 max dam T21 again
So much grinding, so little time. Grinding my jedi and this combat alt (pikeman+rifles 4 boxes left in pikeman) and at same time running my business as ws (those FS grinders are killing me with their grenade requests).
At least I have finished my FS grind (unlocked two accounts after each other). No more trips to village. That make any other grind fun (well except the grind to novice lightsaber, that sucked bad)

I just re-ground the marksman rifle tree myself on a new server... Unngh. What a pain. New server, no cash, no connections, nothing.
I ground it out on Naboo. What I ended up doing was the PBA thing against Night Spiders & Hermit Spiders (leave before the queen shows up) until I had head2. Then I found a nice laser, got it sliced, and started hitting Kadu. They're notagressive, and only the males are social.2 good head shots will drop them. When the males are all down, you can pick off the females at your lesiure. As an added bonus,Kadu have avian meat. If your flat broke, you can harvest that meat for sale as grindage to docs. If it's good stuff, you can make a mint while you grind.

If you look at range mods, you'll actually find the CDEF rifle to have something going for it ... but not much, given that damage is so low relative.

I usually tried to find the Feral banthas, and drop them with 2-3 shots. One of the best sources of experience...just hard to find.

I always hated the grind from Rifles IV to Novice.
I did my grinding on Torturs too. One thing I found out is that Kimas don't like Torturs. If you can pull a Tortur and you run towards a Kima, the Kima will usually attack it and act as a tank. Doesn't last long but at lower levels it definately helps.

First Box - Kill meatlumps outside coronet with overcharge shot using a cdef or whatever takes ure fancy
Second Box - Roll a dire cat mission, get a group 700xp a kill, speed sliced rifle, point blank a lair ( Need buffs n armour mind )
Third Box - On to dant now, hurton howlers are good, 3kish a kill and drop pretty quick again point blank the lairs wearing armour and buffed
Fourth Box - 2 hurton howler missions using the tapping technique
Novice Rifleman - See Fourth box.
I got master marksman in about 2hrs last nite, its such an easy grind compared to any of the novice brawler branches.

Just use a DLT20 rifle(around 200max perferably)I think thats what its called against, Worrts, Ryll, and others then....criminals in Eisely.... then Quenkers on dant until you get novice(preferable use overcharge shot, It will tear up your gun though)

and for novice to master I had the luck with maxed out combat xp to jumpstart me.
Novice to master to about 8 hours which I spent on yavin doing angler an klicnics missions.
0. speed sliced t-21, check swg damage calculator
1.buff yourself
2. good kinetic and some acid protection helps
3. Always try to have 5 mobs around you for max dps.
4.pointblank area1 until flush2 and afterthatalternate betweenwitchever fits the situation your in.
5. Pick whatever boxes doesn't matter that much cuz the xp rolls in. (accuracy can helpa bit of course.)
(you probably want tk or doc because those spiders deal out some poison, and nice fast xp of course)
I've done the hurtoon/quenker routine but I think that you spend so much time riding swoop instead of shooting, yavin missions are like 500m.
I remeber when I did RM last time and it took like a week of serius playing.
Happy killing eeerm I mean playing.
