I have a question concerning the amount of damage I could or should be doing as a Master Rifleman.
I am using an advanced laser right now with a max damage of 1002. I don't remember the minimum dam or the base dps but if what I've been reading is correct the dps shouldn't affect the damage done by 1 snipershop.
My template setup is Master Rifleman / Master BH / Master Marksman / Carb 0300
With an accuracy of 300 with a rifle equipped I'm doing 1800-1900 with advanced snipershot. I've seen no difference when using advanced aim with the snipershot. Most of my testing has taken place on cl 78-80 tusk cats on Naboo. I've also found that I do exactly 1031 damage with a single advanced crit shot. 1232 points when the crit actually happens and 1031 with improved legshot.
Am I missing something here? I've seen reports of people doing like 3k with snipershot and while I'm sure they are using a better rifle than I am at the moment I can't believe the difference would be that great.

Turn on verbose combat spam and see total damage vs final damage.

Not to mention it completely depends on what you're shooting at, the person that hits for 4k is probably shooting at a durni. Take that same weapon to an armored NPC with high energy resists and it'll be closer to <1k.

A smuggler friend of mine out-damaged me and my Sliced, Krayt T21 ahile fighting krayts with his new sliced, Kraty Renegade Smuggler pistol.
So why are we called the damage dealing profession?

we are not the damage dealing profession. We have one shot that can do the most damage but carbines have the hardest hitting weapon.
