Thread: Sniper shot and other similar attacks

Since the last patch they been working for me alot more on dantoine then ever. I can actually use it everytime I attack now. I use 2 sniper shots then a knee cap then finsih it off. Anyone else it working alot better for now?

Sniper Shot still appears to require unreasonably perfect conditions to fire. Also, Knee-Cap shot is still utterly worthless as far as the snared state goes.

EDIT: Also, there is still no message provided for why Sniper Shot fails to fire if you attempt while prone.

wow that sucks casue its been working alot better for me. Usually fails one time but after that it works. Maybe I am jus getting lucky who knows and yeah they siad in patch notes it would tell us why it failed but it dont tell us

Today was my first login in about a week, and I will say Sniper Shot and Knee-cap do seem *slightly* better.... but the game mechanics and limitations still come to the forefront and destroy most of the immersiveness. When I approach a target, I'm no longer playing my character - I'm wondering if the shot will fail or not.


The immersiveness is a different issue, but the mechanics are related. Combat just doesn't feel as natural and immersive as it once did, primarily because we're forced to concentrate on the game mechanics of our setup. The LoS code is probably the main culprit of this (and with sniper shot). That's probably what needs the most attention. I welcome LoS for the reality it introduces, but the current implementation of it is.... lacking.

Combining your movement debuff shotswith scout 3XXX is the way to go.
