Thread: hard caps on damage?

I used advanced sniper shot yesterday using advanced aim, and hit a nightsister for 3460 after resists.
last night I shot a turret using advanced sniper shot advanced aim and +207 deut pyro....for 3460.
I have a 300 base accuracy.
now with the deut pyro i should have hit for more, but seems out of all the combinations I try 3460 is the max I can do. anyone else experience something like this?

accuracy vs defence rating determines damage now - so at 300 accuracy you are probably attacking something with capped defenses so you damage would be capped at that level.
it is hard to explain but maybe this will help

The redlines skew the damage numbers based on abilities/skills. What you are seeing hit for the same everytime is what you should see vs a creature with those specific defenses. It is very predicatable combat results, if you know the various inputs. But it very quickly shows the benefits of gaining defenses skills /using defensive abilities.
