Thread: I am going to organize a post. Need fellow Riflemen's help...

I want to organize a post that speaks directly what the Rifleman profession is facing in the way of bugs, problems, and such. Post here what you think I should include, and please keep in mind that we don't want to relist what was already answered by the devs... unless you want to reword it to help them understand it more.

how about things like this fgw5 pistol damage is 62-422 spd 1.8. this weapon has a higher damage then the t21? how the heck can this happen? 422 top damage. that is bull. this was shown to me by a guy in bestine on the bloodfin server tonight.


as a rifleman i take 2.5 x the damage.


as a rifleman i have to stop every time i was to target something.


as a rifleman i go throught armor much faster because of the damage i take.


as a rifleman my weapon cost a lot more then pistol weapons do because of the rare comps that are used in making them.


as a rifleman i have much few damage types to choose from on my weapon then what a pistol person has.


as a rifleman my main weapon is energy attack only, the energy type that is the most resisted in mobs and pvp.


as a rifleman i get xp much slower then a pistoleer because if i use a special i have to wait for my mind to recover because it cant be healed.


as a rifleman my specials will kill me faster in pvp then they will the person i am fighting.


asarifleman cover is almost worthless i cant tell you the last time i got it to work and that it did anything.


as a rifleman i can shot as a far as a pistol person can.


ok here is a few small issues to get you started.

Correct me if I am wrong but FWG 5 has no armor penetration. If I remember right when I was talking to one of my guilds Master Weapons Smiths with just dragontissue, +30 slice and +33 power up we could get a DLT 20a up to 418, that is without using any advanced components. Basiclya DLT 20a will shoot just as fast as a FWG5, with specials like SS2 that have a higher multiplier will do more damage wielded by a Master Rifleman. Just to give you a idea my 318 DLT 20a averages 500 with SS2 on unarmored targets in PvP. Master using DLT20a > Master using FWG 5.


Also diffrent damage types, understand that we have if my memory serves me correctly the only ranged weapon that does stun damage. Composite can stop just about everything but stun, so again we have a advantage against heavy armored targets.

i think i see why we don't get the attention we want. Those are going to be hard to present from non-whining/complaining standpoint. Probably the Take Cover deal i can get through. I don't know why we take that 2.5x (against melee was it?). Is this agreed upon by everyone? Or have they just missed the post.


I want to speak up for everyone, so lets see everyone's response!
