Right now Im using a Laser that is 26-417 6.5 speed. The T21 Im thinking about getting is 130-386 and 7.5 speed.

Is it worth the 45k to upgrade? Im not that far into the rifleman only 1 0 0 0 at the moment.

I would do it.

Look at that minimum damage. Don't you hate getting those 300 damage shots? I know I do, so I use my dlt20a as my primary weapon for prolonged combat. At least using the T21 (which gets a 50% damage increase over the laser because of AP, btw) for bleeds and lead shotsfor crippling enemies would make it all worthwhile.

At least you have the option of buying one.

Slap a 32% powerup on that sucker and you have a 509 weapon. Remember itis AP3.

The last poster had a good point. You never know when the resources will dry up. I do NOT see a lot of T21s for sale on Eclipse now, but a few here and there. I found a dealer with two T21s for sale and bought both of them, even though it almost busted me. Unfortunatelythey BOTH got sliced for speed (and though thats not totally bad, it wasn't my preference). I am keeping my pre-Nerf T21 (which also got sliced for speed darn it) tucked away and am using the new ones.

Look at SilverLobo's post (may have been a different thread). He has several pre-nerf T21s and I'm sure he's glad he spent the money on those now!

There are lots of good points in this thread. Here, hopefully, is another:Get a hold of the best DLT20A you can find too. The last poster mentioned that you should have several rifles. This is absolutely correct. I am level 3/2/1/2, close to 3/2/2/3, in rifle and I recently bought a very nice DLT20A ... a rifle I hadnt owned since the early days of my career. It is one of the best moves I have made. It, fortunately, sliced for damage. It is very valuable for one important reason: powerful, butmuch lower HAM costs on specials.

I now get level 17-19 missions on Tatooine which basically means 2000+ non-aggro MOBs like bull bantas and bull rontos. I used to get incapped a lot because my mind would wear out from the initial Mindshots and Headshots, etc. That was back when I used ONLY a T21 for mindshots and Laser Rifle for the rest. Now I use the following strategy and it makes a world of difference:

prone and maskscent (optional)at 60m...
( T21 ) Aim, Mindshot2... (repeat if i miss)
( T21 ) Aim, Mindshot1... (repeat if i miss)
( DLT20A ) Aim, Headshot... (depending on time, repeat if miss)
About this time the MOB is heading your way, but is still at a decent distance...
( DLT20A or E11 ) Aim, Warningshot.... (repeat warningshot but not aim if miss)

At this point, you are "yo-yoing" the beast and you can use your DLT20A for some good headshots without eating the hell out of your mind. Just make sure you stay within 75m or so before he bleeds to death so you get the XP. Hope this helps...

If you want a gun that misses 50+% of the time at it's ideal range and kills you in 10 shots and STILL doesnt have the high end damage of a laser rifle and STILL doesnt mean jack **edit** in PvP since its AP doesnt work...

... sure, buy the T-21.

I'd get the T21, definitely. If for nothig else, I love knowing that the bleed I slap on a critter will stick for a reasonably high amount.

Funny thing, we finally got some great resources on Scylla, so now there are a number of T21s floating around; and would you believe I have yet to see even a single E11 rifle since I first started playing? Very odd....
