Well, i've almost made it. My only worry now is speed. I've read that a Master Sharpshooter is pretty fast but just wanted to know if Master Marksman adds to the speed enough that it makes it essential for PvP?

I was master marksman, but now that im master rifleman and dropped master marksman I dont notice a slowdown. It was worth dropping for me...

It makes no difference at all, I shoot at exactly 1 second auto attack, and shoot the exact same speed as a Pistoleers Specials, which I believe is balanced given their prospective ranges, I can pull the trigger just as fast as anyone else right?

I think the only reason you need master marksman is to bring a strafeshot 2 down to 1 second per shot on a laser rifle. If you mainly PvE there is not much of a reason to go master marksman.

In PvP doing 1 strafe per second over 1 strafe per 2 is nice, but is not needed, and the points could be spent just as well somewhere else. Having said that, if you have a few spare points that you don't know what to do with master marksman is a nice choice.

you only lose +5 Rifle speed by not having Master Marksman....

I was a master sharpshooter and marksman. Unlike the rest I did notice a bigger difference in my speed than I expected. I dont think the 1 second minimum works so that is probably why. When I had master marksman the numbers coming off my head as I shot my 6 second laser would touch each other. Now they are spaced apart. I prefer it since I shot insanely fast before and would run out of HAM in not time.

Eagle turn on the time stamp, you will shoot your auto attack at 1 sec even without Master Marksman, but Marksman does speed up our specials some. Still though you can just get a +speed tape and it would do the same thing, correct me if I am wrong but at 100 we shoot all our specials at 1 sec regardless of the base delay of the weapon, I dont have 100 speed so I dont know this for a fact.

I like it, but once tapes actually do stop working I think I may drop to the bare minimum 92 points spent for rifleman.. I'm still yet to see a +rifle speed tape at all though... seen alot of accuracy tapes, but never speed, and we don't know exactly how these are going to work. Being able to shoot strafe shot2 every second is extremely valuable against big game mobs. Load up on caf, ryshcale, and muon gold and you'll gun anything down before your mind goes out even with a 1 second firing rate.
