Thread: Is it just me or..................
I don't know if I have been just having an incredible lucky streak the last couple of nights grinding xp, but I have been really kickin' booty!! Has anyone else noticed the same?
I've still gotten one shotted by a couple of lt. blue mobs but I am hitting more and for more damage......... have stats to prove it.
No I have not gotten any new skills or changed equipment in the last couple of days.
i was just thinking the same thing...i was on Dant hunting pickets with my tank and dropped to kneel 41m from a lair (FULL, not hit yet) and had a -21 Acc mod...I used my laser rifle (we all know 'bout T21 issues anyway) and used Flushing2 shot...
Now normally with Flush2 i hit anywhere from 100 -3000 but this time I hit the lair for 14,000....??
When the pickets came out and all three hit my tank, i shot Flush2 again and hit all three for average damage plus I hit the lair again for 15,000....(little good since it doesnt lose HP till its thesingle target of Flush2)
i have yet to repeat this XP damage on any other lairs or animals but i thought those lair hits were just downright amazing/weird....

actually even after the lairs have emptied, i haveNEVER been doing 3x the damage
this is the only time i have ever hit that high in damage, tho i do agree its probably some related screwy code that allowed that.
If this is the case then the QA and Testing Teams at SOE really need a rocket put up them. the Devs explicitly defined that it would only be if the Nest was empty. For this to go through Testing and not be picked up is a sad indictment on their processes.

My experience has been that if the lair has no defenders it takes the triple (or so) damage. Now this doesn't mean that the lair is done spawning creatures. A new one may come out somewhere down the line. It just means that if that lair has none of it's own defenders currently in existence it takes the extra damage.
And for the record I hit a Malkloc Bull lair for 15,432 damage with my 459 max damage laser rifle and a flushing shot 2.
