Thread: If they add mind healing?
We can maybe, with all the right effectors such as flat terrain, ideal range, prone etc one shot a target with next to nothing mind pool. We can't just one shot anyone on the battlefield.
If mind healing comes in, they best make us be able to knock down star destroyers with one shot
because our profession will be next to useless. Its already been seriously jacked up and is now nothing in the remotest sense a Sniper's profession. Its the worst implementation of long range combat ive seen to date, but all willeventually be sorted out and revamped in the future. Im hoping for a complete long term overhaul of this profession and turn it into a Sniping Profession instead of a disadvantaged mid range shooting profession.

Ah yes, the 'agent class'. Well, not exactly a 'sniping prof', as it was the weapons in ao that held the specials, not the class. Anyone who held a rifle could do a sniper shot. And agents weren't even the best warriors with the rifle, traders were hehe (i was one of them baby eatin traders).

I mean you still do incredibly high amounts of damage and can 1shot people at range...but your big thing was attacking the unhealable mind pool.
How does this make the rifleman community feel?
They said that medics will NOT get mind heals. It will be some other profession. Personally I wish they'd just do away with mind damage period and give use Specials that targets specific HAM bars. This would give us more options in groups and allow us to be more usefull in general. It would also cut out Eye Shots and CM's Mind Poisons from being too powerfull. Or keep mind damage in but remove the INcap from it and give those professions that specialize in mind damage alternate attacks to other areas. This will still allow for people to stop a healer from healing as well as limit our use of specials while making PvE more doable with out pets.
For PvE, I'd love mind heals. I could spam T21 specials like everyone else spams theirs. As it is now my T21 is just a big pistol because if I do more than about6 HS3's I'm out of mind pool. Having someone heal it like they heal Carbineer action would be lovely.
But they'd have to increase our DPS and do something about the 2.5x melee penalty. If mind damage becomes healable then rifles are just carbines that hit a different pool, and we need our penalties taken away.

honestly if they do this without improving our skills in some way, I am dropping rifleman, it's one thing to whine and complain about stuff not working right and say "1m m6d cu2 1 g0t pWn3d by a BH!"
it's another when your class really does not have any kind of advantage or anyone or anything in PvP or PvE and your stuck trying to kill a guy who can heal his own mind pool or fighting monsters that warp right in front of you, you start to realize that the devs haven't posted anything about riflemen in over a month and they haven't even made an attempt at even mentioning riflemen at all. It all becomes apparent that this class is worth less and you are better off just trying something else. I really hope they do something because I really enjoy rifles and the whole concept of rifleman but if they screw us like that one more time It's definatly time to swtich
