Thread: Additional problem (affects everybody, but Rifleman more)

The HAM cost associated with an action is taken from you before it's determined that you can actually do that action. This primarily comes into play when there is a little thread of a tree interrupting your line of sight to a creature that's as big as a house. Nothing like getting a blue -110 floating above your head and a "You can not see your target" message. Then you move 30m and get the same thing again. Before you know it you've lost 300-400 mind and you haven't even started combat yet.

This affects everybody, but with the severe mind cost for Rifle specials it affects riflemen more.

No I disagree.

It effects us based on the weapon we use. Try using something other then a laser rifle or T21.

BAH if we didnt fire then we shouldnt lose the HAM... Everyone loses the HAM therefore it affects everyone, just some more than others....

I agree, it's sort of silly that the HAM costs are deducted before the actual action is performed. I find myself "blocked" by simple rises in the floor at the Tusken Fort, and lose 120 mind for it. Flushing shot 2 seems especially susceptable to this; the simplest little thing will block the shot, even though anormal shot at the same point works fine.

similarly, the kd nerf affected all combat profesions, it just affected carbineers/melees more because we didn't/couldn't yell loud enough.

I'm with you guys ALL the way on ANY issue you think is important/critical.
