pound for pound, which is the best at rifle specialist? I have a 13-288 laser rifle right now that has done 1500 damage with headshot2. i like it i just want something to go along with it that has a higher minimum damage.

I haven't been able to track down a laser rifle on my server, but I have an E11 and an SG82. I prefer the E11. The highest hit I've done is around 700 with headshot2, but the damage is very consistent. I always hit for around 500. My E11 isn't really thatgood, so I'm sure you could get onethat does a couplehundred more. In comparison, my SG82 tends to hit for around 400 (again, its not the best SG82 you could get). Other than pure damage, I prefer the E11 because it has a longer ideal range (50m as opposed to 35m). Also the SG82 only has around 100 con and wears out very quickly; apparently they're bugged right now. The SG82 is a bit faster though, at around 5s, whereas the E11 is around 6s.

One tip is that you shouldn't rely on the statistics on the weapons to decide. There seem to be hidden stats that effect the damage. Out of all my weapons, the E11 has the worst stats; I have a DLT20a that has better stats. But the E11 consistently outdamages them all. The best thing for you to do is to just buy them all and test them out yourself.

What about a nice Tusken Rifle? I bought one and had it sliced so it's now something like 145-244 6.9.

my laser does 17-317dmg at a speed of 3.6. I only need a tusken, jawa, and a t21 then I'll have every rifle in the game. So far, my fave is the Spraystick, 2nd would be a e11, and 3rd laser. Also, don't count the SG82 out because its use is its ability to do cold dmg, some creatures are vunerable to that type of attack.

I've been using a DL20A, with 105-166 5.5 and i do 500-600 with headshot 2 and 400-500 with Charged Shot. Its pretty **edit** nice. But i think a good Laser would work besr (seen some with 11-3XX) with 3-5 speed.

How did you get a Laser Rifle with 3.5 speed, if I may ask? Mine is 7.1 speed. I wouldn't ever dream of getting it below 6.0... that would be simply amazing on its own.

You know , it's funny but for a low tier rifle , I love my DLT20A that was crafted for me by a very skilled local gunsmith . It's raw stats are 100 -157 with a speed of 5.8 I believe , and I throw aHairtrigger grip on there to get the speed to around 4.3 . it consistently hit for 500 - 600 damage with HeadShot II when it was new , and it has lasted a good long time . Nice ideal range of 45 , too .

So I would include this gun in the discussion as well , it's pound for pound DPS is right up there with the higher tier stuff . I'm going to get a slower rifle and open up my long fights with a good high Mindshot and follow through with some DLT20A damage to finish the MOB off .

By the way I got lucky and crafted myself some nice Hairtrigger grips of Aiming , which were experimented out to around 80% effectiveness , so I'm going to get around 26% improved speed and 17% improved minimum damage on those three grips . Saving em up for a real nice T-21 or maybe Laser Rifle .

Does anyone know if Slicing bonuses and Weapon Powerup bonuses stack ? Also , does anyone know how much faster slicing degrades the weapon ? Thinking if I can get a really nice quality elite rifle and slice then power-up it would be about the best rifle available .

I am not sure what the spread is on slicing but a master slicer can add up to 28% damage and 30% to speed, or somewhere in that neighborhood. They do not stack from what Ive been told, its either one or the other. The person does not have any control over which one it will affect. I have a DLTa, it was 105 to 168, 5.6, now it is 128 to 198, or something like that, makes a big difference.

If you get a slicer that gets a speed reduction and then put a attack speed mod on top of it, you'll get a Laser Rifle with around 3.6 speed. Unfortunately it will kill you to use it, due to the high HAM costs. In my opinion you're better off going for max damage, even though the DPS is slightly lower.

if you were either to choose from an E11, SG82, or a laser.....well theres some sides you have to look at... the E11 has very consistant dmg from what i have... 500-700 dmg constant and the HAM cost isnt as bad as my laser rifle....now my laser rifle 364max dmg is nice... but the mind cost is just like hitting yourself with a mindshot.. but then again i can kill feral banthas all day in 1 shot...so if your in a group id suggest to use a laser rifle... hopefully youll get good xp with the 6.5+dly but if you dont want to deal with all that just go E11

pst....im getting a T21 rifle on bloodfin =P you might wanna go for that...145min dmg is SWEET

My wife and I play on sunrunner and the other night while she was browsing the bazaar she found a really nice E11 rifle. I bought it and had it sliced and I really hit hard with this rifle. The highest I Have seen with it is 1200, but I constantly hit between 700-900. The speed is like 4.1 and the HAMs are really low so I can shoot all day long with it (headshot 2). The laser rifle has too low of a min damage so it really is a gamble unless some crafters work hard at getting its min damage up and its speed down. Laser Rifle also has a higher HAM cost than the E11.

Personally I choose the E11 for now, but once I find some experienced weaponsmiths who understand that max damage is not the only thing to worry about when making a weapon I will be employing them to make a few T21 rifles with low speeds and ok dmg output and low HAM costs.
