Thread: so many rifles, so hard to choose.

ok noob here, i understand there are many types of rifle. I like to know wat are their differences? we have t21 , E11 , jawa, laser rifle, tusken, DLT20 and what else? what are their pro and con ?

Look at the stats and information on each one.
Some have energy damage, some have stun damage (jawa), etc.
Some are fast but do lighter damage (spraystick).
Some are slow but do heavy damage (T21).
Some do Heavy Armor piercing (T21).
Some are reliable and accurate but don't pierce armor (DLT20).
Some are reliable and accurate but don't pierce armor (DLT20).
A variety of rifles is required for a variety of enemies.
If you don't PvP, then buy TWO rifles in my opinion: Good Laser, Good T21.

only three rifles you should bother with are T21, Laser and Jawa
I personally use the Laser Rifle for missions, T21 for pvp and Jawa for everything in between that has Stun vulnerability

Laser Rifle:
Pro- High max damage, good speed, decent ham cost.
Con- lower min damage.
Laser Rifle is my favorite rifle in all rifle, it has good ham cost, and great speed. I use Laser Rifle in pve all the time. With the max damage and the lower HAM cost,I can spam headshot 2 with 1000-17000 damage every second and still have enough mind pool.
You should able to buy a sliced max damage 500+ and speed of 5.7 from a good weaponsmith. You also able to loot special laser rifle with MOD.
T21:
Pro- High max damage, good min damage, heavy armor piercing
Con- HAM cost
T21 is your best friend in pvp. With heavy armor piercing, 600+ max damage with power up. You are able to kill any enemy, if he/she dont wear energy protection armor, in 1 shot. The problem with T21 is the HAM cost. It cost 100 mind pool to prefrom headshot2.
There are 2 kind of T21 you can buy.
1. Regular T21. Max damage is around 335, speed of 7.5, mind cost of 40-70.
2. T21 with stock. Max damage 375, speed of 7.5, mind cost of 80- 100. The adavnace of T21 with stock is higher max damage, but you also give up the mind cost.
Jawa Rifle:
Pro- Stun source, low mind cost, good speed
Con- Low max damage
Since Jawa Rifle is a stun source weapon.Jawa Rifleis a good weapon in pvp and pve. In pvp, no armor protection stun. Only if the armor is specailly made with Stun Protection Layers. In pve, a lot of creatures has no protection again stun. The max damage of a Jawa Rifle is not that great, around 300 after sliced, so the damage with headshot 2 is around 500-1200.The mind cost for Jawa Rifle is great, it cost 49 to preform headshot 2.
You can buy Jawa Rifle with around 300 max damage from a good Weaponsmith.

not sure exactly but i think either accuracy or damage is increased at the cost of higher HAM

its means it has a higher dmg but instead of a "normal" T21 with about 70 ish mind cost, one i with a stock will be about 99 mind cost

If i am a 0/0/0/3 rifleman (just got novice and had combat xp capped), i guess i have a decent amout of speed. Should i use a dmg sliced T21 (7.1s) or should i use a speed sliced T21 (4.7s)? If i use a lot of specials will i end up waiting too long with the dmg sliced one?

is the e11 worth it? it seems to me to be a good alternative to the laser rifle. lower max damage (ok, alot lower) but alot higher min damage. both are AP2 and energy and about the same speed. with better HAM costs and a more even damage spread, i think it would be a nice rifle, but i've never had one to play with

how do i stock it? is it done by the weapon smith or i have to get power-up to stock it?
