Thread: Novice Rifleman Needing Advice...

I am working a new character on a new server.

Currently I am a Novice Rifleman, Ranger, and Creature Handler with my main focus being to Master Rifleman and Ranger and filling in with as much CH as I can.

Where is the best place...Best Missions to take to get XP. For my other server, I took Savage Quenkers on Dant and rolled in the XP with my pistoleer, but I'm not quite good enough to take those solo yet.

I can only have out very low level pets (level 13 I think).

Where would I get the "most bang for my buck" so to speak. I don't get a lot of xp running on the starting planets (about 500 a pop max) and I can one shot kill most of those.

Also, I am about to get enough xp for my first box, and from what I've seemed to pick up from the board, I should take the Conceal Shot box. Is that correct.

Thanks for the help.

PS: I didn't see a guide at the top with any specifics on this kind of thing. If there is, just a kind "hey look here" would work for me.

Since you have some pets you can use I would get flushing2 first. It's a AoE attack. I would also get a good bio-engineered pet with good ham and good resists.

The best place to get xp would have to be Dantooine.Quenkers are good to hunt, but I went for pikets when i was leveling. Good thing about pikets are they have good xp, don't poison or disease, and they don't db.

Hope this helps...

dantooine is good for the voritor hunters, if you can get a group. i was getting 4k rifle per kill and 1040 CH xp using a cowardly gurreck.

dath is the same way with rancors and kamurith defilers (spelling may be wrong). you get 1300 CH xp for rancors.

Well, my pets don't tank good enough to take on Pikets yet (I'm still having problems with the Quenkers)

I probably need a few boxes to take them down quick.

What's good to get the first few boxes in Rifleman, after that I think the Pikets and Quenkers will help me level fast enough for my taste.

Also, what does Flushing Shot and Conceal Shot actually do. Does Conceal give you a bonus to being "noticed" by creatures or does it simply do the 2.5 damage.

And does Flushing Shot apply a Dizzy which is why you would take it? Is it worth not doing the extra .5 damage for soloing purposes?

Also, should I be using damage power ups with this advice?

Thanks in advance....

Get a good set of armor, a set of buffs then go for savage quenkers. As long as you have a good set of armor, you should be OK taking on regular quenkers without buffs. Good XP...

im still leveling and i'm 2-1-0-1 rifleman as my only warrior class. I get buffs and go to endor and take out crimsons for 12.5K a mis, and I get around 3.5K rifle and 350 CXP. That works pretty good.

Can't say anything about flushing shot 2as I still have 1 box to go before I get it, but conceal shot is my bread and butter at the moment. It essentially prevents mobs from seeing you at all, as long as you don't miss.

It seems to be 2 misses with conceal shot = aggro, although a few higher lvl mobs I've tried seem to aggro after 1. Make sure you mask scent before using it, as this seems to affect conceal shot as well.
