CTRL-K is mapped by default to /attack.

Actually, any special will work to boost damage against bases with the exception of Mindshot or Headshot. Just check your time between shots to determine if you are gaining anything from using them. Bear in mind, however, that Overchargeshot will produce more wear and tear on your weapon than other specials.

Also, do not use a Jawa against lairs. The are apparently immune to stun damage.

I would go with a speed sliced spraystick with a 16% min/33% max damage powerup on it, and just let it do a normal attack (or thrown in random pools specials to boost damage if you are in a hurry). After making Master, get a damage sliced one for the same purpose.

After Master, the spraystick will also let you participate in group hunts with players still leveling. That way you can do more than just stand around wishing you could kill something and avoid getting yelled at for killing things too quickly and taking all the XP if you do.

Just started playing this game about a week and a half ago, and loving every minute of it. Sure there's the occasional glitch or bug, but they haven't affected me enough to detract from the overall fun of the game. Just looking at the professions before getting the game/reading forums I decided I wanted to be a ranger/rifleman, and that's what I'm heading towards.

As a 1/1/2/1 rifleman, I'm loving being able to head out on my own and solo pretty much anything, albeit slowly, with conceal shot. Sure guys take awhile, but I love the sniper feeling, and having to reposition myself to get back in range while avoiding other mobs that tend to break my maskscent at the worst possible times.

The only issue I've had so far is with lairs/bases and their hp. It's incredibly frustrating to take down the npcs at a faction base, and then spend 10+ min destroying a little flagpole. Lairs aren't as big of an issue, although for some of the harder missions they also seem to take awhile. From reading some of the older posts, base/lair life was to prevent quick hit-and-runs on them before the mobs around could heal it, thereby getting the cash for missions without having to fight the mobs themselves. However the current life seems to be somewhat extreme in most cases, especially with the bases. If I'm wrong or missing something feel free to let me know, I'll get back to watching myself lower a bases life by millimeter increments...

I use a spraystick with a min/max damage power up for faction bases.. saves my main weapon from wear and tear and does the job relatively sharpish
