I had my rear handed to me too many times as a rifleman. I use my t21 my laser and jawa guns to no avail.

I just want to know whats working for riflemen in pvp. I know the one thing i have against me is that I am a wookie and no armor I wish they would give us something and bio cloths was not the answer!!! you hear me!probably not

anyway I am a master Doctor with 2 to 3k buffs and i use food and drinks for my mind along with gold.

I can take on many mobs and not get killed but in pvp it seems like I get takin out to the door lol lol . No I am not mad or flaming I just want to know how to do the pvp right and have more fun at it. I am 4 3 3 3 in rifleman and I am doin better then i was when i was a master pistoleer and or commando. It seems alot of the specails don't work in rifleman or is it just me not using them right? My plan is to master rifleman and I really enjoy playing rifleman whole lot better then any other profession.

btw I level up on datoonie doing piket mission 4k a piket and i can take one by myself heck I can take on three at one time and still win lol lol thats just pure fun and its makes rifleman that much more enjoyable for me.

Also I strongly feel that we as rifleman need a health bleed shot mindbleed is nice and is unhealable but I have seen cases where a health bleed shot would be nice to have.

Also I am lookin for better guns my t21 and laser does 500 max damage with 30% powerup

I would love to have a krayt T21 anyone that has one for sell look me up

Thank you all for your help any advice is greatly appriceated

You really should master the profession before going out and PvPing, you'll notice a huge difference in your DPS and accuracy. After that a good Jawa Ion rifle and T21 is all you need in your arsenal. You'll want a T21 that's stocked for PvP and sliced for damage. Your Jawa will need to be the same. When you go into PvP agianst stacked defense junkies use Flushing shot 2 until their stunned then break out with Adv. Strafe or continue flushing shot. If you have Brawler dont be afraid to get close and personal. Warcry them or intimidate them (intimidate kills counter-attack, dodge, block. )

Hopefully this helps some, and good luck!

how come riflemen have it much harder at PvE than other classes so XP is slower and they also have to wait untill master to PvP unlike the other classes?

Why? I honestly dont know. Perhaps it's the speed factor. I guess they think everyone couples Master Marksman with Rifleman (and that dont even help much). Once you hit master though you'll outdo a Master Pistoleer and can pick off Carbineer's if they're not buffed and stacked with 2 handed swordsman like all of 'em on my server are. I understand your pain, though. Tuff it out though, it's worth it!

Wow I was not expection this kind of a reaction Thank you all for your responses

Also I do a plan on mastering rifleman and tonite i did mange to take a few people out

the ones that got me where the double stackers it seems like i never hit them at all and I went back and look at my

combat screen after I got killed man no one was hitting this guy at all. hmmm

So master i will I just bought a new T21 rifles for 500k with almost 600max damage sliced tool. so i hope I didn't get burned too bad lol lol but I love the t21 right now its my prefer gun over any that i have now it is slower but it hits harder lots harder.

I wish now i done the rifleman tree when i first started this game cause if I did I would still be one now I loved being a Doc/Rifleman and so does everyone else

I notice that if I let my fellow players attack up close and I hang back away from the fight I tend to take most other players out in like 3 to 5 shots pretty quick and they don't know where I am at too which keeps me from gettin attacked.

So it gets better when I master now I really can't wait lol lol

Thank you all for you help and advice

This is my rifle there are many like it but this one is mine (T21) without it I am useless without me it is useless

I've found some basic bone armor, or mabari does well to mitigate a lot of damage (you get a 50% reduction just for wearing it!). My mabari is like 10% kinetic I think... pretty crappy, but it keeps me alive long enough to heal myself.

Like everyone said, master it is. You get mitigation III and more ranged/melee defense. Can't beat either. The speed is good too. I haven't tried it without master marksman yet though.

With the new foods out there, you can really do well. If you're the hangback type, pop some brandy and Vegihash? Whatever the food is that gives you 100% damage reduction for three attacks. It's invaluable if someone decides to GTEF you. They hit you once, they get a GTEF, you get no damage... by then you'll start firing, and hopefully the people around you will lock on and kill them before they hit for the third or fourth time.

Other thing to keep in mind is to keep a lowprofile. Don't spam Headshot3. I've found AoE attacks are more effective against groups. Sure, its random pools, but you can incap two or three people trying to take down your target. It's really good. Like five shots for the price of one. And flushingshot2 stuns! You can't beat it.

Using Headshot3 is bound to burn you in someone's book. I rarely get hunted down with AoE attacks, but if I use headshot2/3, it seems I always get someone chasing me.

Also, turn off your tag if you haven't already. Being Rifleman is the fotm, they're the first ones singled out.

As a wookie I can't wear armor wish i could but then again i have great hams and being a doc i can buff myself or 2k or more. I was spaming the headshot3 so that may be my mistake there. I will try the flushingshot2 that I have and flurryshot2 as well.

I can buff myself and take bradny with baviliro however you spell it lol it stacks and there is no downer if i get hitting in my mind I down a gold which brings it back up but the downer is non exists because of the food and drink

Thank you all for you support and help

It looks like you got a good start with your mind buffs icetor, buffing the mind is key to pvp. I'm a human but still haven't taken advantage of armor so I'm in the same boat as you there. I do fairly well in PVP without it. If you pick up some medic skills so you can use stim c's or D's you can get stims that will heal 1k+ health and action and that comes in handy.

The only other advice I have for you is to not rely on your T21 too much for pvp. Sure it packs a nasty punch to people not in armor, but it also makes you a huge target and is very inacurate. Even with all my accuracy bonus I have a hard time hitting the high ranged defence characters with my T21. Try switching to the jawa or e-11 to put a stun on before going to the T21. Once the stun sticks switch to the T-21 if they don't have armor. You won't miss at that point and can dish out some serious dps. A rifleman and a BH/carbine or BH/pistol hybrid are the only ranged professions that have enough accuracy to hit those high ranged D characters so your whole team needs you to stick that stun asap. Toss some aims in there for added accuracy if you need to.

Thank you all again I have never had this much response on any other form you guys rock!

Also is Wookie Roar the same as warcry or does it do the same effect on the double stackers

also I already been killed a couple of times that way so yea I do stay away from the blue dots and keep my eye out for more as well I trun my overhead map on too

I can take a person down pretty quick with headshot2 and or 3 if they don't know where I am sniping from and come looking for me lol loI

I have a pretty good idea on how to plan my attacks thank you all so much I made many friends in PVP and I made a few enmies too lol those who cry wolf causethey die and not take the time to learn what their professions does best and how to work that skill to their advanges

I glad I took the time to post here and see what is the best way for a rifleman I been reading up on all forms as much as i can and talking to others in the game

Thank you all again

I am starting to understand more to what i am doing worng.

So i need to do flushing2 and flurryshot2 till it stick >>>>>using a jawa or E11 gun how about a spraystick?

Then swtich to the T21 and hit them for damage>>>>

I am a masterDocter so I can buff and heal my self use the best stims and cure posiens which I get alot of due to combat medics lol lol

I am master medic +masterDoc

goin for master rifleman now just so close 4 2 3 3 lol and its goin fast now that i got flurryshot2 and flushingshot2

Thank you all for the advice and help I hope to get better in pvp i don't want to rule i just want to last more then 2 seconds lol lol

I was also told that the doulbe stacking professions are goin to be changed I don't to see things get nerfted cause i know how it feels to be in a profession and it gets nerfted so bad that i gave it up and was one of the best at it for a long time till it go nerted then it was not enjoyable for me to play that profession.

I feel like SOE should fix what is not working instead of nerfting however in extreme cases i can see the reasons for the nerfts but in extreme cases thu.

I agree with the suggestion not to put too much emphasis on the T21, but I disagree with the contention that you should not use HS2 or HS3.

If they are unarmored, the T21 is almost always going to be the better choice. If they are armored, the Jawa is usually going to be the better choice. Keep the E11 handy for when you are running low on HAM. But even then, do not get fixated on weapon vs. apparent situation. Check your damage. If it seems low, try a different weapon. There is no magic weapon that works in every situation.

But to limit yourself to just using random pool attacks is not wise. Yes, hitting someone with HS2 or HS3 will alert them that they are being attacked by a rifleman, but all it takes is a quick look at the combat log and a little knowledge of the names of the variousattacks, and they will know that anyway. Besides, random pool attacks are mostly healable, and hitting multiple targets means you get whole crowds of people chasing you rather than just one. Yes, you can incap people other than your target, but you can also be attacking highly buffed pools rather than the most neglected pool in the game.

Just like with the rifle selection, choose your target, assess their HAM setup, and attack accordingly. And even if you are going to use HS2 or HS3, it can't hurt to Stun them first.
