Sorry about the empty post, I hit "enter" when typing the title... thank god for edit mode.
anyway, like the thread title says, I am curious how these specials compare...
on paper, it seems like:
1.strafeshot2 is a more effiecent use of the mind pool
2. flushingshot2 is faster and may do more damage in a given period of time
has this been your experience?

AdvanceStrafe shot is a radom shot area shot.
Flushing shot is a shot that is aim'd at 1 target to stun them making them more vul to our more powerful shots.. (great shot to use in pvp before you use your other combos)

Except that he's talking about flushing shot 2, which is AOE...

I had strafe2 hit for 4000 damage last night with my new DXR geo rifle.
I don't know about Flushing 2...sometimes it works great, sometimes it doesn't work worth a flip. It does have the added advantage of stun, but when I'm up against a dangerous PvE creature or npc, I want stat pools drained as quickly as possible.
Personally, I like downing some vasarian brandy and using Strafe2 exclusively.

I only use FS2 in pvp against people with high defences followed by headshot. In pvp i always use strafe2 cause its doing more damage

If it's gonna be a battle for some time I get Flurry2 and flushing2 a few tries to get stun and dizzy going then I stick with SS2. Its very potent and saves the tanks some damage, although the novices might get robbed out of exp.
