Thread: The Best Tree
If you solo, get 0100 asap. That gives you Concealshot, which will EVENTUALLY let you solo almost anything. But before you do, you need to clim the first tree, and get all the accuracy/conceal modifiers. 3100 is where you start to be able to conceal shot effectively, at which point you can sit there and snipe at things all day.
This is NOT the fastest way to XP.
Far, far easier is to get at least 0030, group with a tank (a friend or a nice big pet). Then send the tank in to attack the lair; as all the mobs aggro on him, you spam /flushingshot2 at a distance. It will do acceptable damage, but it will hit ALL of them. You'll suddenly be doing 10k damage every few seconds (spread out over 10 mobs). That will do miracles for your XP.
Strafeshot2, the Master special, is just a bigger, badder version of flushingshot2, really. They're used pretty much the same way.
Of course, all of this is for PvE- I'm exclusively PvE, so I've tested all these out. 0003's Flurry Shot is supposedly useful, but not nearly as much as flushing2 for getting xp. Once you get 2030, you can probably expect to grind out the rest of the tree in a week or less- I went from 4032 to master in two days.
If you solo PVE I'd probablygo with the 1-1-1-0 for ConcealShot, some people like it, some people don't.. It's slow but will net you some XP.
If you like to Group PVE get to 0-0-3-0 as quickly as you can for FlushingShot2.. A high damage Area Attack that will help you get XP a lot faster, but you need someone / something to tank for you if you want it to work properly.
As for the SG82, well seeing as it's 0AP Cold damage it's really only useful against MOBS that have Cold Vulnerability and High Energy Resists / High AR. It's the 0AP that makes it pretty bad.
