Thread: I'm going an Inordinate Amount of Time before being Aggro-ed

I'm not complaining, just remarking. And I know I'm not being aggro-ed because I had my pet on Guard. If I was attacked, he'd run out there.

I'm talking like, when prone, maskscented, 13 seconds, without being aggroed. And standing, Mask Scented, 8 seconds.

And these are capped, that's just when I killed the thing. I might be able to go longer!

I'm Master Rifleman, Master Marksman, Scout 4/2/4/1, with a Camoflague +3 Ring, Cover at +81. I was not under cover.

Edit: It appears that this phenomenon is definetly tied to my Mask Scent.

I believe that it may have to do with our Cover ability and single draw. Posture is also a factor. Try getting about 30m from the target and see if it still has the long delay.

I can tell you as a soloing Novice Rifleman that when you get 50-60m from the target and use Mask Scent, you seem invisible.I have taken out, sometimes, entire lairs withiut being aggroed. Eventually I do since any shot will cause a bleed sooner or later, but Mask Scent is definitely your best friend.

Not to sure of that waste when we did this thread I never used cover once butI was prone. It most definitely does apply to our single draw ability but not to cover as far as I can tell

You're right. I meant our Rifle Concealment Chance (Accuracy branch). I believe that skill mod effects our single pull ability and also is what is causing the long delays between detections. No hard evidence of this, just something I suspect.

Well as a 4244 Rifleman I can do a Giant Baz Natch mission without ever being aggroed every time. So im not sure whats affecting it but I never have any problems.

It was added in Jan I think. If you attack a creature from 50m+ or so when it aggros it shouldn't cause it's friends to also attack if they are of the BAF type.

Basically it allows you to draw a social creature towards you and you can fight it as a single instead of fighting the whole pack. It doesn't always work and the other MOB's still can detect you if they get close or if they make a successful roll.
