Im currently switching servers and will be remastering rifleman for my pvp build. I will be using Rifles mainly for all out PvP action. This time, instead of going TKM with MRM, I think Im going to try some defense stacking for PvP. Does anyone have any good ideas for the 158 SP's leftover. I'll probthrow in a mix of TKA / Fencer / Pistoleer. Some questions I have are:
1) Does anyone know the caps for defense vs states (I know the other cap for ranged/melee defense is 125)
2) Does CoB with either Defense Acuity (TKA) or Dodge (Fencer)work when you switch back to rifle?
3) How important is novice medic (those 15 points can go real far)
4) How important is Combat Equilibrium, does it work?, does it stop the KD/Dizzy combo?
5) Will high Def vs Dizzy really make it much harder to land a dizzy on me?
Thanks a lot

They should also cap at +125 I believe
2) Does CoB with either Defense Acuity (TKA) or Dodge (Fencer)work when you switch back to rifle?
No. They are melee only skills. Dodge will not work with Rifleman but will with Pistoleer.
3) How important is novice medic (those 15 points can go real far)
Depends on how you play and what you do. Generaly it can be very helpful in many cases.
4) How important is Combat Equilibrium, does it work?, does it stop the KD/Dizzy combo?
Not sure on this one. It allows you to recover posture once it has been forced changed. However I think it still counts as a voluntary change on your part meaning if your Dizzy you can fall over. Not positive on that however. Also not sure how it works in relation to KD. KD has been variously described as a state effect and posture change. It could also be considered unique by being a bit of both. So Equilibrium may or may not work on KD depending on how it is defined in the code. Would be something to test though.
5) Will high Def vs Dizzy really make it much harder to land a dizzy on me?
It should. However there is some debate if a +1 in defense means +1%. There could be some ratio. So how much is needed to make it harder to stick is open for discussion.
Thanks a lot

1. I was talking to a Fencer, Pistol, TKA stacker. He told me his state resists are at 90 and they hardly ever stick. But i think the cap is 125.
2. Don't think so.
3. In pvp not very. It's pretty much all mind damage. But i couldn't see myself never having novice medic.
4. Not sure.
5. Yes.

doesnt really matter, once you get above 100 you are vertually unstateable, if there is a cap it is 125 though
2) Does CoB with either Defense Acuity (TKA) or Dodge (Fencer)work when you switch back to rifle?
nope
3) How important is novice medic (those 15 points can go real far)
depends, some people ONLY pvp with buffs, others pvp unbuffed, irarely fight in buffed pvp and use up tonsof stim usesper major fight.. so yeah i use/need it to compete with buffed people
4) How important is Combat Equilibrium, does it work?, does it stop the KD/Dizzy combo?
if you have no state defense this helps a LOT, but it comes from profs that give good state defense... This skill is very helpfull anyways though
5) Will high Def vs Dizzy really make it much harder to land a dizzy on me?
yup
Thanks a lot
edit: stupid spelling..
