A big tip for you that too many riflemen don't seem to know about: When you do your missions, go prone around 55 meters away from your target and use non-area effect attacks, like headhsots. Remember not to have any of the mob closer to you than around 50 meters. This way the only one (on average) that will aggro on you is the one you are shooting at - if you don't kill it before its even aware of where you are. Just keep in mind not to use area attacks (strafe shot 2, etc.) unless you want to kite the whole gang of attackers, because they will notice you if you attack that way. It isn't fun to have them beating you up without that melee mitigation.

As for Janta vs. Mokk, I always choose Janta missions due to the Mokk taking a little longer to kill. Janta are easier to kill if they all chase me than a mob of Mokk; I can do more Janta missions in a time span than Mokk, which equals more loot and credits (difference of only 1500 credits or so per mission); both seem to drop the same loot...

Hope that helps you out a little...happy hunting

Hello all,

I am a little nervous. I just dropped master swords to train as a doctor. My only combat skill is now Master Rifles. I never fought PvE with rifles and I am wondering if any of you have any tips for me. I was able to support myself with Mokk missions in the past so easily with swords. Am i just a poor rifleman or is it really alot harder to get through these missions with the rifle instead of the sword.

Thanks!

With Doctor, missions should not give you any problems. Rifleman by itself isn't that bad for Mokks/Jantas even without buffs. That you can do missions and buff people for credits means you should never find yourself feeling poor.

With a rifle and novice medic you can take out mokk's and jantas probably faster than with a sword or any other profession for that matter. You may take a little more damage than with a sword equipped, but nothing significant. I can run 10-12 missions per hour if I stand at 64m and strafe the lair and then loot all the mokks/jantas or 15-20 if I don't bother to loot and just kill the lair and leave, regardless of whether all the NPC's are dead. As a doc, as long as you wear armor and use buffs, you can just use strafe2 the lair or start with a flushing2 if you prefer to get a stun on the NPCs, but shouldn't have to target individual NPC's unless they make it all the way to you and past your cone of attack.

I dunno about mokk / junta missions, but i do know i hunt endor alot, unbuffed, and unarmored. Scout/ranger concealment skills help im sure, but rifleman by itself is really solo friendly.

headshot3 and concealshot while prone are my mainstays.

If i dont think i can kill a mob in 3 headshots or less, ill switch to concealshot. Get your mind pool buffed (something which i never do, but should) and you can kill an entire lair spawn while laying on your belly. In the end, i can hunt on endor all week and get a grand total of 16 battle fatigue.

with buffs and armor you should be able to do just as well as you did with swords the 50 away is good advice thou with a good rifle i can usaly SS2most of theJanta mission befor it gets to me. if thats not working for you then just use the Headshot conceled shot idea.
