Thanks for the list. I've been trying to test profs for things that gate advancement. I'm wondering now how many of these weapons are loot drop schematics? With the MIR being CL 30 if it's a loot drop that would be a nasty gating of the rifleman prof. Having to use the E11 from CL 22 to CL 40 would make for an incredibly unpleasant grind.

[*** CU to Live Update: The Weapons certification code in Live is currently bugged (Tusken appearing in Commando, no Master requirement for T-21, etc.), so I'm bumping this post for those wondering what their rifle certs will likely look like when the current bugs are fixed. This is based on the last working code in TC - it may not be done precisely this way in Live (in fact I hope not - I hope the finished/fixed code takes into account these suggestions!). Note also that as of the last working TC code, only Spraystick, SG-82 and Jawa Ion had elemental damage. We're hoping that's a bug too, since at the very least Bersekyr and DXR 6b should have heat and acid, respectively, as indicated here...***]

OK, here's the update with the new patch. When I get a chance tonight I'll add in the elemental damage types.

For those wondering, Beam, Lightning and Proton (still given out by the froggies as rifles) all have appropriate non-rifle skill prereqs in SL, BH and Commando.

Here's the current rifle availability chart with * indicating kinetic damage, and () indicating skill/race prereqs. [] = elemental damage (c=cold, h=heat, e=electrical, a=acid)...

Novice Marksman(aka lvl 1): CDEF, Light Bowcaster* (Wookiee)

Lvl6: DLT 20

Lvl 7:DLT 20a

Lvl 10: SG-82 [c], Recon Bowcaster* (Rifles 4, Wookiee)

Lvl 14: Spraystick*[h]

Lvl 22: E11

Lvl 30: Massassi

Lvl 40: Tusken*, Berserker*[h], Tenloss DXR-6b [a], Lt. Laser

Lvl 50: Jawa Ion [e], LD-1*, Explosive Shell Sniper*

Lvl 54: T-21 (Master Rifle), Adv. Laser (Master Rifle), Assault Bowcaster* (Master Rifle, Wookiee)

Issues:

1. Massassi is a gateway weapon? I thougth it was supposed to be a rare antique? In any event, many riflepeople are going to be unhappy about essentially being forced to use a gun they don't like. (I don't mind it myself, but I know the majority are not fans...)

2. Loooong way from 14 to 40 to get another Kinetic weapon.

Recommendation to address BOTH 1 and 2: move Tusken Rifle down to lvl 30, especially since Berserker is available with Kinetic damage at 40.

3. LD-1 and ESSR have essentially same stats on froggy: both are kinetic, unrestricted lvl 50 weapons. Adv. Laser and T-21 also have essentially same stats (in fact identical, atm): both are energy, Master Rifle restricted. So essentially, the difference is just the look? Silliness. Thereshould be a Master-level kinetic rifle.

Recommendation to address 3: move Adv. Laser to Lvl 50 unrestricted, and move up either LD-1 or ESSR to Master Rifle.

That's just off the top of my head. Any other concerns?

(***EDIT: added elemental damage types***)

Are you certain about this? Is this only for crafted copies, maybe?

Frogged Berserkers or DXR's had no secondary elemental damage last time I looked at them.

Hey, I'm with you. Now we just need them to replace the advanced laser rifle with an advanced E11...

Hmmm... would have said I was sure at the time - looked at the descriptions of the frogged weapons as I wrote this, but I'll look again. Might just be my overactive imagination.

I think it might have been justthat.

Just grabbed a new pair off of the frog, no elemental damage. Though, they really should have elemental damage since that level 40 Tier of identical weapons is a bit redundant. (especially since the DXR and the berserker is so much harder to get compared to the tusken and lit. laser...).

Well dangit, you had me all excited, I thought the Beserker and DXR6 was back to heat and acid. Thought they finally came to their senses.

Not sure how having less weapons to use after the CU is more tactical.

QFE.

It has been pointed out to them that as things stand there is no reason for a Master Riflebring to have more than two or possibly three rifles: A T21, Assault Bowcasteror Adv. Laser (whichever skin you prefer, they had identical stats on TC-Ep3, and all did energy damage), one of the LD-1 or ESSR (again, identical stats) which you would only use against something with low kinetic resists, since they do less damage than the MAster level weapons, and possibly the Jawa for electrical damage (it's also a lvl 50 weapon, doing about the same damage as the LD1 and ESSR, but as energy and with the electrical bonus).

assault bowcasters are overpowered..

my dps (not a wookie) with a 550 max pre cu one is 556 dps (rifleman -bh..and level 65 only..so not master at both..only rifles)..its 1100+ dmg in kinetic(bypasses psg)

so a wookie will own anything with that thing at the moment in pvp..whereas a 540 dmg t21 is a 450 DPS now for me.

ohh..and EVERYTHING under level 50 is griding weapons...its really pathetic.. lithtanium, beserker, dxr = grind and no special dmg (which should be something like cold, heat and acid)

nothing under a t21 is worth using in this system... we went down from 3 rifles to 1 in the current system and it sucks...i hope they fix/match everything to everything else or i see more ppl quiting their accounts(like many already arent..sigh)
