Than it ever was before.

Here´s an example: On dathomir. Master Rifleman, Master BH.

I find a lair of Bull Rancor, I think "No chance mate" but I have to have a go like don´t I?

So I park my bike a safe distance (for a quick getaway if it all goes wrong) and make my way up to the lair. 45m out and I go prone and hit the cover button; the warmup thing goes and I hear a clunk. Bugger, it´s not gonna work. Sure enough, "You cannot conceal yourself as something is close enough to see you". I check the radar and there´s a purbole who´s just wandered into range. Ok, move to a different spot and try again. No problems. I´m invisible, 43m from a Bull and I hit conceal shot. He immediately turns towards me and starts walking. But then stops and starts looking around him. He can´t see me. I´m freaking out at this stage cause I thought I was burger but the Bull keeps looking around him and walking a few steps in various directions like he´s looking for something.

I hit him again with conceal. He gets very close but the cover holds. My heart is thumping now and it´s fantastic. On the third shot he gets too close and "You have been discovered!"

I jump up, hit him with a kneecap shot and start running. He´s on about half health by this stage and I haven´t take a hit yet. He´s slowed and I´m running, opening the gap between us. I hit him with a few headshots and he´s down to about 20% health, then I use underhand from BH and he´s down. I smack him with a couple of body shots (mainly to try it out) and, unbelievably, he´s dead. A bull rancor.

Compare that with a pre-curb rifleman:
Find rancor, headshot rancor 5 times while ignoring all damage, loot rancor.

I have to say, the new system is good. I really enjoyed it. Cover can be annoying when it doesn´t tell you why it failed but I can almost guarantee there´s someone near you, or your bike is near or whatever. Find a nice clear space and it should work. Conceal worked beautifully. Couple of shots in and then he found me. Fair cop guvnor. LOS is still less than ideal but that can wait as far as I´m concerned.

Using non-rifle specials with a rifle? Just lovely. And Rifles/BH is nice. Really nice. I duelled a few people (all CM´s) and did well. It won´t be uber and you might lose a lot in duels against CM/stackers but you´ll have a lot of fun with it. With a little practice I reckon it´ll be lethal.

Apologies for such a long post, just thought a little good news from a once and future rifleman might be welcome.

62 if I remember rightly. Obviously it shouldn´t have been a problem at all but after the last few days it wouldn´t have been a surprise.

Still problems though, and fairly big ones but the "general rifleman experience" is much improved I reckon.

Sniper shot needs looked at. Just fails a lot. And that "clunk" noise needs to go. It´s one of the most annoying sounds I´ve ever heard.
