I would've posted this on Ando's thread but I was curious as to how the question might be popping up elsewhere, too. I noticed his Trandoshan Rifle had a bio link line. This reminded me of something I liked about World of Warcraft, where rewards you got from completing a quest could only be used by the player who received them. They called those items Soulbound. Is that what a bio link is? Or is it something else entirely?
Oh yeah, the reason I *like* the "soulbound" WoWitems was because people who made the effort to complete difficult tasks could get visible rewards for their work, but then the items couldn't be traded. So you got things to wear and use based on your exploration of the game. Which I think is awesome, cuz it puts a sort of status into the player community and encourages people to talk about and work towards completing the missions for cool rewards.

a) Yes, "bio-linked" is SWG slang for "soulbound". If you bio-link something, you are the only one that can use it from then.
b) No, its a bad idea. If a quest reward item is sufficiently hard to get to work as a status symbol, people are less likely to sell or trade it, anyway. In my eyes, bio-linked stuff is just limiting myself in certain ways. What if I wanted to give my old, little worn-out faction armor suit to a newbie because the condition is too low for my taste? I cant.
