Last night I helped a fellow Rebel destroy Mellichae's camp of no good Sith (btw, Daktar is a monster CL 100!!!).
Had a nice system going after destroying the crystals. Used a droid to aggro one sith at a time (I use this method while hunting pikets on Dant).
Worked well.
I noticed something that I haven't noticed since the CU - I was dodging attacks!!!
The Sith were using ranged attacks. I was laying prone - but was ROLLING out of the way of the ranged attacks! I couldn't believe it. Is this something the devs have implemented recently, and not said anything?
Or maybe it was the first time I've actually watched the action instead of my toolbar

OMG! Yes, you can.
I don't know how effective it would be, but you can do it. You'd actually have 38 SP's remaining.

You've always been able to dodge whilst prone or kneeling, since at least Launch anyways.
It was just that Pistoleers/Fencers never had much reason to kneel or go prone and they were the ones with the highest "Dodge" modifiers. Riflemen were mostly only going prone to get under cover and use concealshot. Once cover broke, they didn't usually stay prone. And even when you did, Rifleman had the "Block" modifier.
The kneel and prone dodge rolls are a cool animation (in my opinion) and it's good to see them getting used.

I was getting this a couple of times as well...I dodged shots while prone, is this a new addition to make posture changes a more attractive solution to range fights?

As I just said, THIS HAS BEEN IN SINCE LAUNCH.
The chance of performing the dodge animation has probably been increased for Riflemen, since Dodge is no longer a pistol/fencer specialty, as Block was ours before.
But it's not "new" at all.

I am TKM/Mrif/Commando 4040
I am always the last person standing if something goes wrong in my group.
I am 42-3 PVP record vs nonjedi (4-5 vs jedi)
