Somehow through poor tactics and pure luck I have managed to make it to Novice Rifleman... I have a couple questions for all of you that would help me a wholelot.

1) How are your hot keys lined up? I am looking for an extremely efficient way to set up my hotkeys but I can't seem to get them lined up right.

2) What is the best rifle in the game right now? I am using a Laser Rifle currently.

3) I thought mind shot would be a more damaging form of Head Shot. Instead, mind shot seems to do damage to the body. What exactly does mind shot do?

Thanks,

Lor

hmmm, well hotkeys are preference i guess. obviously, you want headshot2 and mindshot. takecover is a good one to have hotkeyed as well. and don't forget about warning shot, that will cause the mob to run out of range most of the time, then they usually un-target you.....then you can keep hitting them w/o them even getting close.

as far as rifles go, the t-21 is obviously the best one in the game but they're rare. some servers don't even have them and if they do, they sometimes are hindered by poor quality minerals/metals. the laser rifle is a good choice, that's what i use. just make sure you have a backup for close quarters and such.

mind shot says it does body damage but what it really does is DOT (damage over time). it cause the mind pool to bleed and every 20 seconds or so, it takes a chunk of mind pool away. it's a very effective tool, use mindshot, then a couple headshots and they won't touch you

Nice. I can't wait to try it out now. If you hit more than once with mind shot will it cause more severe bleeding?

A second mind shot will only reset the damage of the DOT to your 2nd shot, it won't increase the damage taken or reset it's timer. This is useful if you have a poor hit on your first mindshot.
