Has ANYONE got this to work? I'm curious whether the bug only affects some people. If you have got it to work, what does it do? High damage? Which HAM does it attack?

As I understand it, this is a PVP only move. It will not work against mobs or NPCs

I have surpsied shot and have tested it a bit in PvE. I only get "This attack can't be done withcurrent weapon"when it's not the first shot. This makes sense since surprise shot might only work for your first shot. However, when I use surprise shot it appears to be just a normal attack. My theory is that surprise shot lets you get off a 2nd shot with hardly any delay. I have to test this with a really slow weapon. It also seems to work if you're not in cover. The only thing that makes me think that it might be broken is that you don't get a message like "You surprise shoot %TT for 300 damage", instead you get a message as if it were a normal attack.

You are talking about sniper shot. Sniper shot only works to deathblow people in pvp.

Surprise shot is both a pvm and pvp attack. It is the highest dmg attack that rifleman get, to balance the power you must be in prone taking cover to use it. I have had the same issues with surpise shot not working, getting a msg saying i equipped the wrong weopon. I have a feeling you might need to takecover and have the "sneak" skill in order to use it. The description says it is a ranged sneak attack even. When i get conceal tactics 3 I will tell you the outcome I need about 350k exp and I will tell you my findings.

Surprise shot is definetly not working....

While prone and covered I get the error message (Not related to tumble, since I go prone first)... I won't get a message if I lead with it, however the attack that goes off is a normal attack, not a special (Thus it's still not working).

I'll be getting sneak today and I'll check again, but I'm fairly certain this skill is flat out broken.
