Thread: Okay, rifleman fun so far, now what to spend my pts in first to make it easier.
Just need some tips on starting rifleman, i know MS2 is a must first, but what after? go for HS3? or Sniper Shot? or go for conceal and take the long way? what about that startle / flury combo?

I have to say this is what I have done and I am loving Rifleman. First I got Mind Shot 2, then I got all the points for Head Shot 3 but instead I went for Conceal Shot! And I have to say Conceal shot is awesome for that lone wolf. And it makes you feel like a sniper when it works. But with groups...I have found out that with a good laser rifle with at least a 5.7 speed, Flurry shot is what you use in groups. I have been able to do as much damage as the rest of the group to get the good xp. After that I dunno..not there yet.
i wanna know who you group with droid.
when in a group i open with flurry, then go to overcharge shot. flurry is useless as it doesnt work on mobs, i use it because i hope it gives the mobs some sort of neg modifier. either way using my laser rifle at 3.4 seconds the mob is usualy dead before i get off a third shot. im generaly lucky to get 200 xp. most of the time i get no xp.
hunting on lok for 4 hours, ill make maybe 10k xp while the rest of the group finishes whole skills, 60k-80k? worth of xp.

Yesterday, I was on endor with 4 people. With Flurry shot I do 1k-2k damage every 4 seconds. The group is made up of Guild Members. One member was a master marksman with ch skills, another was a pistoleer, another was a Teras Kasi Artist, can't remember the others. But I usally hunt with Bounty Hunters. That is what alot of my Guild Members are. I was getting anywhere from 1k to 2k off of the kills. Plus Im a CH so I also got CH xp. I do hunt alot on Lok with my Guild mates too. But I find I do get less xp on that planet. But still more than solo.
Mope if you are into soloing get conceal shot next, headshot 3 costs way too much mind, stick with HS2. HS3 is more for PvP type encounters when you might only get 2-3 shots off and you want as much damage as possible. Sniper shot sounds cool when you read the description but it only has PvP value, does nothing versus creatures. For group action go counter-sniping 3, flushing shot 2 has a 4x damage modifier so you can do 3000 plus hits with a decent dmg sliced laser rifle, and that is area effect. One last tip people don't mention much here, if you can afford it buy some +33% max damage weapon power ups for when you solo, on my T-21 it can mean an extra 350-400 damage on HS2 and 700-800 on flushing2, big help.
10k exp in several hours? stop grouping if that's the case. Mobs like feral banthas can be killed in 1-3 shots pretty easily and they give about 1k exp each, you can get over 10k exp from a lair in no time.
If you must group, on dantooine all creatures assist each other,when you take a mission the lair will have 2 creatures out front almost always so your group will often engage both, drop flushing2 like there's no tomorrow, you'll gain way more exp than on Lok.
