No, I'm a Bothan right now and I just suck at combat because I"m a rifleman. We don't have the highest mind stats though if thats what you mean, but if you just like Bothans for our obviously superior spying abiliites, and incredible good looks, don't get discouraged by our mediumhigh mind pool

Oddly there a quite a few Bothan rifleman out there, including myself. I don't feel in any way that my character is any less powerful because of less mind pool.

Most races are caped near the same mind stats so i think your just as good as tohers... Hehe im a wookiee and i survived to master rifleman though it was a pain to get there...

I think all races equally suck as riflemen, so don't worry about it.

The extra focus and willpower from zabrak and squids make a big difference. If you are a "tweaker" type these are definately the way to go as rifleman. But I also roleplay a bit so I stick to my human.

With the crazy mind usage I have I feel sorry for those rifleman with even lower mind stats

My main is a Bothan that ended up taking the rifle. I maxed out my mind stats, and I don't have any problems, really. I'm not used to playing a fish or a zabrak, so I'm not spoiled with being able to attack non-stop.

I still have a good time

AND, as soon as camoflage and stuff works, Bothans will actually have something of an edge in concealment as we get:

Camouflage +15
Cover +10

So I wouldn't say Bothans are bad at all at riflemen, especially if you consider the tactical advantage vs the brute force advantage.

Man, I dont know where you are, but Im Zab, and my mind is a white bar after about 10 HS2's.... sad, sad indeed..

To be honest, only three species can actually play rifleman. In order of preference, they are:

Zabrack
Mon Calamari
Wookie

And the reason for that? Pool Maxes. Those are the only three species that get any sort of reasonable increases to the Mind Pools, and the Wooks just barely get one at that. I know with my Zabrack (maxed Mind stats of 1000/500/900) I can get about 6-8 HeadShot3's off with a T21 before I risk incapacitating myself. Admittedly, I have a Pre-Nerf T21, and the HAM requirements on it are a little outrageous. That being said, with my much more reasonable Jawa Ion Rifle, I can cast about the same amount of damage with before my Mind Pool is exhausted. . . it just goes out in smaller dosages.

Yes, but how fast does your mind regen with a willpower of 900?

Mine is 500 max.
