Thread: Does no one want to admit the T21 NEEDS nerfing?
Seriously, its insane as it is now. I took mine out fora run after todays patch. Took down a 8000hp rebel major in 3 shots.. he didnt even see me, 3000xp.
Okay, then I took downa Fambaa in 5-7 shots...
Was killing stuff on Dantooine later, watched some bounty hunter kill one critter with 10000ham... took him like 10minutes to kill the thing, in that time I had taken down 5 of those and was waiting for respawn.
So tell me, why is everyone crying about this weapon getting nerfed? It needs it badly.
I dont know about the AP3 nerf though, we kinda need a AP3 weapon... eitherway this weapons damage needs to drop to reasonable levels. I could prolly solo a krayt if I wanted.
we are the damage dealing ranged class we are supposed to do Massive damage.2500+ a pop id say that should be about right for a Rifleman.
Pistols - fast low damage
carbine - medium spd medium damage
Rifle - Slow heavy damage and we cant use stims to heal ourselves like the other classes because our attacks take mind. So yes i do believe we should get some extra damage out of the deal.
Of course no one will, they thought this change would make the uber. Trust me the last thing on the mass majority of players minds is play balance, just look at the posts in this forum.
You have them screaming for more damage when they are told repeatedly that at Master we shoot at 1 sec, and 2-2.5 for specials. They were told repeatedly that our damage with the T21 was in the 3000 range with SS2 but they ignored it.
You have them screaming for some kind of imunity to knockdown and its been stated by myself and others that defense vs knockdown does work, but they ignore it.
I think its very ironic that they screamed over and over to get the T21 "fixed" only for SOE to realize that yeah it does, enjoy the nerf.
wow 8k hp with 3 shots impressive....
especially when a Reble CH and come into the Imperial Outpost on Talus and kill all the Stormtroopers and every PC there with out dieing or loseing a creature, please.
even when i killed the CH he could still command them and i was shredded wheat befor a could burst run...
even if i hit for 10,000 i could have killed one of his pets but the other 5 would have shredded me none the less...

But, really this weapon is what finally evens us out like others have said, SURE we do a lot of damage, but we can shoot of a few shots before mind is gone and if we want a deathblow we are most likely going to use Sniper shot and that also takes a large amount of mind to use.
Oh, while you are out nerfing the rifleman again... why don't you take a look at pistol range and whack it a few times with the Bork Stick. After all that work to get through Rifleman it finally pays off, then gets nerfed because we seem too powerful. Maybe the T21 could be a master rifleman cert instead of a Novice, if you think we are too powerful in PvE? Not all of you will like the idea of changing T21 cert. to Master, but it will keep them from nerfing the T21(hopefully) and you will have a huge sigh of relief and accomplishment once you make Master and put up with the damage modifiers to us vs melee and bad grouping EXP etc...
We can't be too powerful in PvE with a T21 considering we won't need the rifle EXP much anymore, and not too powerful in PvP because everyone will know that the people using a T21 in PvP worked their arses off to earn the T21 cert.
All I have to say.
well if they do that every classes best weapon should be made so that only master can use it. then watch the millions of post come from the other classes.

only thing they will fix it for them and laugh at us
