I look around and I see pistols everywhere. I rarely see another rifleman. When I do, we normally stop to chat for a few moments. Granted, it's normally to gripe about our chosen trade, but there's a certain fraternity there.

I feel we're elite. Not in the traditional sense, but in the sense that we know how hard it is, and we're still here. I'm not going to bring up our disadvantages, we all know what they are. But people who are still with it have adapted. We could have gone to BH or any of the "uber" proffessions. But we didn't. We're riflemen. We work **edit** hardfor our levels. I think there'sa definite argument that we take the longest of all combat classes tolevel. I got Counter 3 this weekend. I took out threeblue/white cons in one shot.At first, total shock;secondly, pride.I'm a very casual gamer.I don't group. I don't have a pet. I finally felt like all of my hard work had been rewarded.

I'm proud of the fact that I stuck with it. I'm proud of the fact that I didn't go toan "easier" proffession. You should allbe proud of yourselves.

I couldn't agree more. Master riflemen on the Scylla server are about as rare right now as PC Jedi. The day I achieve that title it will actually MEAN something, as oppossed to all the cookie cutter Bounty Hunters and Commandos.

From my knowledge im the only master rifleman on wandershome.... I know there has to be some more but i have never seen them... But im proud that i had one of the toughest times leveling out of all classes to becomeBADASS and a killer of hordes....

Yep, even though I haven't spent much time lvling now thanks to various reasons I always love to see someone else lugging our big gun and always stop and have a conversation. I can't wait to get to the powerful part of our tree.

Im a proud Rifleman as well. Not because its a kick ass profession (like BH etc.)so everybody takes it,but cause i love the class.

You should be proud, it takes a certain amount of bullish stubborness to put up with what we do just to level. We forge ourselves in a crucible of long and tiresome grinding sessions one hellish box at a time and watch our fellow friends race up their chains while we just bite back a curse and put our eyes back to the scope. Is there redemption at the end of the road when Master Rifleman is obtained....god i hope so. If not, atleast I can say I completed it and then decide where to go from there. Not many people will see the special dedication behind your choice to stick it out. But every other rifeman you might run into will and know that if they need someone to fill in a spot in the their group they know where to find someone that by god knows how to tuff it out.

I think that all Master Rifleman (except SilveLobo) should be given a FS Slot!!!

It certainly is a grind and a painful experience at time, but i like everyone am looking forward to the end of the work so that i can enjoy the game!! Im half way there!!

i love it when im hunting with my friend, and we race for the kills. he is a BH and i am a rifleguy.

well, i won my share of the kills. let it be known.

we dont REALLY suck. we just have to be incredibly carefull hehehhe.

with a few good tanks, we arent so bad. it's that mele damage multiplier that makes life so damned hard.

i love the comment about cookie cutter commandos. they've been fixed for barely over a week and people are calling them the next BH class. i've been a commando (2-2-3-1 now) for over a month. of course, no one else was a commando then, but i was pround of it, and am really happy that my patience paid off.
now that i got the commando gripe out of the way... i also am a rifleman (2-1-1-0 all combat xp went to commando) and it is working out fairly good. i say fairly because it can be annoying sometimes. it helps a lot to look at actual real-life examples of things though. what do real snipers do in combat? or maybe i should say sniper teams? yes, make a friend, preferably a carbine type. you take the first shot, he hoses it down to draw off the agro while you get a few more shots in. a very effective way of handling things. except when they won't stop agroing you, even though the carbineer is standing in front of them shooting them point blank in the stomach. but normally it works good, even in pvp too.

You will be far, far better at master rifleman than at 2/3/0/2.. You will do literally 10x more damage with the speed increases and more damaging specials... even more damage than that through AEs. Check out this log of the new biggest mob I've soloed (solo'd with a pet ~ Graul Mauler, available on Dathomir, lvl 34 pet)... This was with a powered up jawa ion rifle.. 110-193 with a 33% max damage power up. It was even easier than it looks, fight was so fast the pet took about 25-30% damage (excluding what the disease dot did after the kimoglia died). Strategy was simply sending in the pet, then going prone at 55 meters and letting loose. Here goes:

**edit**.. we don't do any damage at all do we. For those that don't know the mob hits for >1600, has a massiveAE disease dot, has 22793 HAM, 65% energy and melee resist. And I believe is over lvl 200.It is generally raided on by massive groups. I'd be happy to go back and solo the mob with conceal shot for those that will no doubt bitch that I didn't really solo since I had a pet tanking for me. No AT-STs were used in the soloing of that mob. Rifleman begins at master rifleman.
