Hi ... any advice from experienced Riflemen would be greatly appreciated ...
1. I am confused about the different types of rifles available. But what intrigues me most, is that when I calculate on the basis of damage per second, they all seem to be pretty much the same! Here are some of my calculations:
Jawa Ion = 31.7 damage per second
T21 = 33.6 dps
Tusken = 34.1 dps
DLT20a = 37.3 dps
So what have I missed guys? Surely they are not all the same? Surely the DLT20a is not the best?
2. I am just Novice Rifleman (my other professions are Master CH, Ranger 4040, and Novice Medic). I have an additional 18 points to spend. What is the best way to spend these 18 points? Sniping? Counter-Sniping? And given that I have Ranger Conceal skills, is there any point in Concealment?
3. Is it better to keep marksman's Ranged Support, or should I drop that to free up more points that I can use on Rifle Abilities?
Thank you all for your time and help.

1) Whats important is the damage type, you use the weapon that doesnt suit your target's defences, ie jawa for players etc
2) I found personally that rifleman sucked big time untill master, at which point itbecame out of this world uber, if your not going to master it, i wouldnt bother to be honest. I guess if your going to dabble, headshots are what i use most, then you wantas manyspeed and accuracy boxes as you can afford.
3) I did the whole of rifleman without that tree, only had the first box in it so you can use /aim which isnt bad for accuracy when you suck at the beginning.

Hi, and thanks for you reply ...
Well, I think with only 18 points to spend on top of Novice, any combat profession is going to "suck" ... I just figured that as I am Master CH, I can attack with my pets and just stay a safe distance away and help them out a bit ... hence Rifleman. And one day, when I drop everything else, I fully intend to master rifleman.
Your answers made me think of 2 more questions:
a) What about Concealment? Will it "stack" on top of my Ranger /conceal skill?
b) Given my above-mentioned plan of staying at a distance and just "helping" my pets, and given that I will be attacking animals only, which rifle would you recommend?
Thanx again

Concealment for Rifleman is only the mod you have so that creatures cant detect while you're firing at them.
Concelament with Ranger is a handy little ability to have, especially when taking on faction NPC's.
If you want to be helping your pets out, I wouldn't reccomend Rifles, as the mind pool is rarely hit by pets unless they have a certain special. Pistoleer would be best, HAM drains arent that bad, and it attacks health. I know a MCH/MPistoleer who is very successful with his work. Not to mention the dodge..
But again, it's all about what style suits you: Slow heavy hitting damage or fast light damage.
