Thread: what other profession for PvE?

I'm not much of a pvp'er and I just started novice rifleman. What other profession(s) should I pursue?

I use CH, and the pets work very well at keeping the targets away from me.

If you want combat then I would suggest a melee professions. Either TKA or Swordsman. This will give you Kinetic and round out your damage types.
TKA is very fast, low HAM costs, and decent damage. They also have Powerboost and Meditate. This allows you to boost your HAM for a short period of time and to heal bleeds, poison, and disease. Though not while in combat.
Swordsman have high damage weapons, also hit the Mind pool. And you also get blast damage besides kinetic. They also have good AP weapons.

For "solo" PvPing, its always good to have a Tanker, so CH would be nice, also TK is a great idea.... Swordsman is kool at PvE.... just about ANYTHING is good PvE at master just use your imagination 
Commando would be a nice touch as well

yeah swordsman seem the best currently, though tka will handle most stuff allbeit taking longer to kill than swordsman using a scythe.

Doc never hurts, buffs 24/7 & heal everything the buggers throw at you.

Why Ranger of course.... we're rarer than Jedi, get a free Party Tent and many of us have a rare urge to actually hunt on foot...

I would not got TKA, The one damage type will kill you. My favorite PvE template was Master Rifle/MHS/0040 medic

Well for a pure damage standpoint alone, you cant go wroung with Master swordsman, you get blast damage and you hit the mind also. There would be nothing that could stand in your way, specially if you picked up medic to use stim b's.
Doctor is always good to get, you can heal yourself complety and buff yourself. Getting rid of stat effects is always nice.
Ch is very fun to do once you master it. I am a rifleman Ch and I do very well.
It all depends on your playstyle really.

Swordsman is a very handy profession to have under your belt especially because it goes hand-in-hand with rifles, mainly because of the mind damage.
I'm a TKM/Rifleman and from experience, I find it challenging to kill the more difficult things in the game, but other TKM/Riflemen might have different opinions. It pretty much plays out so that I can fire a few shots off at their mind pool, then when they realize thatI'm shooting at them, they run over and my knucklers come out and start pounding the mind pool.
Personally, I think you would be better off sticking to swordsman, but thats just my opinion..
